Rockets, Nukes And Nukes In Orbit

There are some things that the government just doesn't want us to know. Some might say that this is true of all governments and that governments can not be completely free with all their information and still be effective. That may be true, but some of the things that are kept from us are costing us billions and maybe trillions of dollars. Let's look at our missile defense system. We are told that we can now stop enemy nuclear missiles from hitting this country. We are said to have anti missile defenses that we have poured billions upon billions of dollars into. The truth is that we can not defend ourselves using this system against more than a couple of missiles and even then, the system might not be effective. Every country in the world knows this and yet our people are kept in the dark. I have said so many times that if all the governments of the world know something like this, what is the point of keeping it from us? The point is that it is political. The government does not want us raising a fuss and disrupting the flow of money to the defense contractors.

The new administration hasn't done anything yet, to my knowledge, to change this, but in all fairness, they say that they are going to eliminate these useless defense contracts. The problem is that if they try, some politicians will cry that they are destroying the defense of this country, when the truth is that there really is not much of a defense to destroy, when it comes to an anti missile defense. The opposition will keep the pressure up and many civilians will be fooled into thinking that they are really losing something where there is nothing to lose. Even during the anti missile tests, when the military knew where the missile was coming from that they had to shoot down, they failed in several instances to successfully do it and to cover up the incompetence of this system, they switched to computer simulations and all of a sudden began to announce that every test was successful. I know that I hate it when people think I am an idiot and I am sure that you do too.

The next thing is the fact that there is so much nuclear material in orbit over our heads. Many satellites were launched with nuclear reactors in them. I wonder if anyone remembers the Soviet satellite that came down in Canada in 1978 and spread nuclear waste over a forest area that luckily was uninhabited, or so we were told. It is getting very dangerous in low earth orbit. Thousands of pieces of old metal are circling the earth along with hundreds of old satellites. We know that the Soviets alone launched over 3 dozen nuclear satellites and who knows how many we launched? Sometimes these things hit each other. Just picture this, a satellite with a nuclear reactor is hit by another satellite, or a piece of metal big enough to knock it out of orbit and it crashes into a populated area and spreads radioactivity. We are never told that this is a real possibility. It sort of reminds you of the lost nukes that fell out of our bombers, some near US cities. No one wants to talk about it and there is always the slight chance that one could go off.

Here is what Time Magazine had to say about a new safety system that the Soviets put into effect for nuclear satellites, “Those safeguards were put to a test in September (1988), when the nuclear-powered Cosmos 1900, containing about 70 lbs. of radioactive fuel, began falling out of orbit. But before the satellite re-entered the atmosphere, an automated safety system kicked in. The reactor was separated from the satellite and shot into a higher orbit. If, however, the reactor should collide with a defunct satellite or some other piece of debris left from more than 30 years of human activity in space, it could be knocked out of orbit anyway. Says Daniel Hirsch, director of the Stevenson Program on Nuclear Policy at the University of California at Santa Cruz: "The probability of a collision with space debris is unacceptably high." It is said that 38 nuclear satellites have been launched in total, 8 satellites containing nuclear reactors have reentered the atmosphere and a total of 11 have malfunctioned.

Then there are the weapons in space. I know what you are going to say, there are no weapons in space and especially nuclear weapons, because there are treaties. Believe me, when a country, including this one, wants to do something bad enough there is no treaty that is going to stop them and nukes in space, while not proven, are probably circling over our heads right now. I have no direct proof of this since it would be the best kept secret in the world, but probably only from us. There are articles out there describing a nuclear weapons platform that was put into orbit in 2006 by the US. Robert Gates has asked for new nukes and nukes seem to be on the minds of our defense chiefs again. Now I don't want you to think that only the US may have nukes in space, because there is other information out there that states that the Russians also have a platform with nuclear weapons on it that faces toward earth. The problem with talking about things like this is the fact that you can never back it up with hard facts, but it certainly seems likely, given all the events that have taken place over the last 30 years or so.

The following is a video history of ICBM and ABM development:

I hope that you have taken notice that the last part of the video series states that we have yet to find a concept for defending against incoming missiles that is effective and yet we had expended over 60 billion dollars in the attempt. That is another thing that we are not supposed to know. We just keep throwing money at missiles to knock down other missiles and are given assurances by defense companies that they can do it, when indeed there will always be some missiles that get through. If even one missile with a huge nuclear warhead or multiple nuclear warheads gets through, that is far too many. The best defense is to get rid of all nukes and make the penalty for a nation trying to develop them so harsh that they won't try. The problem with this is that you would need an agreement by all the countries of the world to do this.
