Projects That Led UP To H.A.A.R.P.
a/k/a Messing With The Ionosphere
And Van Allen Belts
Project Argus Launch From Sea Project Argus a/k/a Operation Argus– In 1958 the U.S. government was secretly exploding nuclear bombs in the Van Allen Belt. It was the part that is the closest to earth. They also exploded a couple of hydrogen bombs 96 miles over Johnson Island in the Pacific. It would be interesting to know where the fallout from all these bombs went. Anyway the purpose of all these explosions seems to be to test the effects of the EMP, electromagnetic pulse, on radio and radar transmission. As they say, the people be dammed. New magnetic radiation belts were created that encircled the earth according to some scientists. The effects were felt over the entire world, because electrons were injected into the ionosphere. An aurora appeared by the North Pole. The U.S. military decided that they would create an artificial belt around the earth comprised of needles and use this for telecommunications, because the ionosphere was impaired by outside forces such as magnetic storms and solar flares. Millions of needles were sent into orbit to bounce radio signals off of, but they soon were found unsuitable for communications as they drifted too far apart and the project was abandoned. I guess that one might say that this was the beginning of the U.S. military trying to use the ionosphere Project Starfish Nuclear Explosion We were setting off nuclear bombs overhead and very few people even knew about it. The next project they experimented with the ionosphere, that we know about, was Project Starfish and that was in 1962. The military wasn't going to let any grass grow under their feet. They began to blow up nuclear bombs overhead again. Thank God for the Limited Test Ban Treaty of 1963, it prevented above ground nuclear tests. We actually disrupted the Van Allen belts and changed their shape and the intensity of the radiation. The inner Van Allen belt was said to have been destroyed by our bombs and radiation and particles from it were sent into our atmosphere. It has since recovered. The idea was to destroy the ability to communicate, because radio waves could no longer get through the ionosphere for many hours until the ionosphere recovered. A temporary radiation belt was created by the Starfish Project that was much wider than the belt created by Project Argus. The Soviets also began to test the ionosphere and they created three new radiation belts with their explosions. Since 1962 it is said that the Van Allen belts have never returned to the state that they were in prior to 1962. It is suspected that it will take many hundreds of years of leaving these belts alone, before they return to normal, but it doesn't look like we will ever do that. Satellite Designed To Bean Electrical Power Our military never rests and when the idea of putting up solar power satellites in 1968 was scrapped as too expensive with not enough return, since the power would be more expensive, it didn't go unnoticed by them. The amazing thing about this project, called SPS: Solar Power Satellite Project, was that each satellite was to be the size of Manhattan Island. Could this have something to do with those huge UFOs that are being seen once in a while? The military decided to review the project in 1978 with eyes toward military applications. They wanted to put up satellites that would have beam weapons. The original stated purpose was to shoot down missiles, but later is was described as not only a psychological weapon, but also an antipersonnel weapon. They wanted to use an infrared radiation beam which would be invisible. One idea for the satellites was to beam power to aircraft and such thus eliminating the need for fuel and allowing aircraft to fly indefinitely. Its concept was so expensive that it was scrapped again. After the space shuttle was developed it was sent up to do experiments on the ionosphere. In 1985 it performed experiments on the ionosphere while in earth orbit. It released gases that caused a hole in the ionosphere. It is said that the hole that was produced was the largest hole we ever made in the ionosphere and lasted the longest. Wow are we supposed to be proud of that? One of the problems was that besides what we were doing to the ionosphere, we were also destroying the ozone layer. This was happening because the engines of the space shuttle released 87 tons of chlorine that destroys ozone and the launches from 1992 onwards released 187 tons of chlorine. I am not sure why there was such a difference. When NASA was asked about the danger of this chlorine to the ozone they said that they did a study and here is their statement, “The report concludes that Space Shuttle launches at the current rate, pose no significant threat to the ozone layer and will have no lasting effect on the atmosphere. The exhaust plume from the Shuttle represents a trivial fraction of the atmosphere, and even if ozone destruction occurred within the initial plume, its global impact would be inconsequential. ” Note that they do not deny ozone destruction. In 1982 the United States developed a weapon called the Hermes II electron beam generator. It produced a 20 trillion Watt pulse. It is known as a Particle Beam Fusion Accelerator. It had been experimented with since 1974. It is said that we actually used this device during the Gulf War in 1991. In 1994 a rocket was sent up from the Poker Flat Launching Facility in Alaska. Please note that is where H.A.A.R.P. is located. Anyway it contained chemicals to be released and here is what NASA said they were trying to do, "understand chemical reactions in the atmosphere associated with global climate change." They were also launching these things from Canada, Churchill, Manitoba to be precise. Were they messing again with the ionosphere or JUST with our atmosphere? The US Navy seems to be always involved somehow with these projects and has been running H.I.P.A.S. which is also in Alaska. This is the High Power Auroral Stimulation Project. They use a 15 meter antenna plus wires. The send a high power beam into the ionosphere that disturbs it. Like H.A.A.R.P. they claim that they want to be able to communicate with submerged submarines. They are also studying the Aurora Borealis. They believe that the Aurora is plasma and this might give them insight into fusion. They have figured out how to generate this Aurora from the space shuttle with an electron beam. H.A.A.R.P., In 1993 the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program went online. Rather than go into it again, below is the link to the article that I wrote about it: It seems that we have been doing things to our ionosphere, bad things, for many years now and there is no end in sight. It does make one wonder how long can we continue doing these things without causing real harm to ourselves? Even the idea of causing earthquakes in other countries by using the H.A.A.R.P. device, as repulsive as it is, might have consequences right here at home. Some think that we could cause a sort of runaway earthquake and tsunami that could devastate the entire world, or at least a good part of it. |
