UFOs And The Presidents Part IV
Complete Index of Series
Bell Shaped UFO In the previous article we spoke about what Presidents Kennedy, Johnson and George H. W. Bush knew about ufos. One could not help but come to the conclusion that the most secretive of the three presidents was George H. W. Bush. Lets see how much the last three presidents knew about ufos or at least how much we can find out. President Ronald Reagan was loved by many and hated by a few, but his image today is that of a beloved president. He was elected the 40th President of the United States and served from January 20, 1981 to January 20, 1989. Reagan was a little unusual, he had been in Army intelligence in World War II. According to some stories, he had been an FBI informant in Hollywood. It is also said that the military was more than glad to back him for president. A high government official is said to have told an investigator that if he didn't want Reagan to know something, he would just lie to him. Many in Reagan's staff felt that he could not manage anything himself, but he was just what they needed to act the part of president and this made him the perfect president as far as they were concerned, because he could easily be kept in the dark on sensitive subjects, such as ufos. The CIA reports showed that Reagan did not receive long CIA briefings and in fact, just about gave up on getting CIA briefings after becoming president. Reagan may have received the least amount of information of any president to occupy the White House. One thing that Reagan did believe in was ufos. He believed that they were real and flying in our skies. He had this belief way before ever becoming president. Some people state that as Governor of California, Reagan had seen several ufos. One story states that in 1974 Reagan and his wife showed up late for a dinner and when asked what happened, they replied that they had seen a ufo and seemed very upset. They saw a ufo while driving down the coast. A second sighting occurred when Reagan had been in a plane and he and the pilot decided to follow a ufo which later shot straight up into the sky. It is also said that the plane's pilot admits that this is a true story. It is also said that Ron and Nancy became so interested in ufos that they began to study data on them. It is known that Reagan was very interested in this subject because he discussed the second ufo incident with the pilot of the plane many times over the years. Reagan's advisors suppressed the fact that Reagan was very interested in ufos just as they suppressed the fact that he was also interested in astrology and the last days on earth. It is said that insiders in the Reagan administration admit to the fact that the Star Wars Initiative (Strategic Defense Initative or SDI) was not aimed at the Soviets, but really at alien invaders and as such, ufos. When the Reagans sat next to Spielberg for the screening of Close Encounters, Reagan is said to have patted Spielberg on the shoulder, after the movie and told him that there weren't six people at the show who knew how true this really was. It is said President Reagan told Foreign Minister Shevardnadze, of the former Soviet Union that if the people of the world were to find out that there was some alien life form that was going to attack the Earth approaching on Halley’s Comet, then that knowledge would unite all the peoples of the world. When Reagan met with Secretary Gorbachev in Geneva he again brought up the topic of aliens by saying that if aliens threatened this world how fast people would forget their differences and ban together. Reagan also made a speech to the U.N. where he again discussed alien invasion. Was he obsessed with this topic or did he know something we don't? William J. Clinton was elected the 42nd President of the U.S. He served from November 20, 1993 to November 20, 2001. We all know that much of his time in office was spent defending himself from sexual charges and impeachment. Clinton was interested in ufos and it is said that he sent Webster Hubbell to look into the subject. Some people feel that there was some connection with the way President Clinton felt about the movie Independence Day and the ufo problem. It seemed that he would like to talk about the movie and the way mankind pulled together to defeat the aliens. I just don't see this as meaning anything except that he liked the movie very much as many people did. It is a known fact that Clinton was interested in ufos, but so what, so is most of the country. It is also a known fact that he is a very intelligent person and Rhodes Scholar. It seems to me that it is a healthy question when you ask if ufos are real, after all, everyone wants to know that. There is a quote that is attributed to President Clinton about a trip he made to Area 51. It is said that the quote is from Clinton addressing the CLSA's Investor Forum in Hong Kong and refers to a question asked him about ufos. He is supposed to have said ".... can say now, 'cause it's now been released into the public domain.... This place in Nevada was really serious, that there was an alien artifact there. So I actually sent somebody there to figure it out." Again I must say I have no way of knowing if this is a true quote so take it with a grain of salt. It is also said that Roswell was discussed and Clinton stated that if there are any documents on Roswell showing it was a saucer crash, those documents are hidden from him too and that he wouldn't be the first president that was lied to by people under him or that career bureaucrats have waited out. He supposedly went on to say "But there may be some career person sitting around somewhere, hiding these dark secrets, even from elected presidents." Did he suspect that there was much more to do with ufos than he knew? It sure seems that way. By the way, it is said that Webster Hubbell got stonewalled by the Air Force in his quest for ufo material. Today we have George W. Bush as president. He is the 43rd president of the U.S. and the son of the 41st president. Some people feel that George Bush knows a lot about ufos. Much of this is based on the fact that his father was thought to have been one of the most knowledgeable people on this subject in Washington and one of the keepers of ufo secrets. Bush is a proponent of secrecy and disinformation campaigns, making it very hard to ascertain what is true and what isn't. When Bush was campaigning, no one could get him to talk about ufos. This is not much evidence of secrecy though, this could have been because he might have felt that this would ruin his credibility. A story is told that a man asked Bush, who was running for president at the time, if he would issue a statement concerning the American public's right to access whatever information was available to the government on ufos. It is said he was grabbed by a Texas Ranger while Bush exited in a van. The story goes on to say that the man asked the Ranger why he had been grabbed and pulled away from Bush, but the Ranger just walked away. 9/11 has had the effect of tightening secrecy even more, as you can imagine. In reference to ufos, nothing is coming from this White House. There are even restrictions on people in Congress, as far as allowing them to see certain types of data, according to many sources and when this happens, how can we, the little people, ever expect to be let in on ufo information? Even documents that were declassified are being classified again. This may just be the most secretive time overall in U.S. history. |
