In part I of this article we tried to find out what Presidents Roosevelt, Truman and Carter knew about ufos and we found out that of the three, the one president that at least tried to find out what was going on and tell the public, was Jimmy Carter. We also found out that he didn't succeed. Lets look at a few more presidents and see if we can find out anything about any of them that is relevant to ufo data.

President Dwight D. Eisenhower was the 34th president of the U.S. He was president for eight years from January 20, 1953 to January 20, 1961. He was also the supreme commander during World War II and as such must have known about the foo fighters that were being reported by allied pilots. A typical foo fighter report was made by a pilot in a P-38. He stated that he was being approached by two orange balls that were definitely not enemy planes. He was at 10,000 feet and decided to try and lose them, but no matter what maneuver he tried, they followed him. He was about to give up, because he felt that he just couldn't out maneuver them, when they suddenly sped away at an incredible rate of speed. These types of reports were coming in on both sides during the war. Reports have surfaced that many ufo documents from the Eisenhower administration are now missing. I have no way to confirm if this is true or not. It is claimed by some that at at least 10 ufo crashes occurred in his first 5 years in office. The claim goes on to state that the incredible number of 26 dead aliens and 5 live ones were recovered. The story further states that the aliens were becoming a problem for Eisenhower and he didn't want to inform Congress, so he turned it over to Nelson Rockefeller and the problem ultimately landed up in the laps of *MJ-12. It was also said that the government had tracked 3 alien space ships approaching the Earth. It was first thought that they were asteroids, but that was later discounted by the maneuvers that they made. They went into orbit and we contacted them using binary language which they apparently understood. It is believed that the movie, Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, may have been loosely based on this meeting, if you believe the story. The story of the ships orbiting were carried in some news papers, but they were described as asteroids that had gone into orbit. It is also said that another alien landing took place in 1954, at what is now Edwards Air Force Base and that President Eisenhower actually met with aliens on February 20, 1954. Eisenhower decided to keep this secret because he felt that the public couldn't handle it, the story goes on to state. There are so many stories about Eisenhower and aliens that I could fill a book, but here is one that deals with the background on the Eisenhower alien meeting. Eisenhower insisted that he had gone to his dentist for a chipped tooth while he was on vacation, at the time he is said to have been meeting with the aliens. Many say that they have checked and the dentist has no record of the visit.

President Richard Nixon was president from 1969 to 1974. He was the 37th president of the U.S. Nixon was president in an era when we were sending astronauts into space and we had sent a ship to the moon and back which contained astronauts that had actually walked on that heavenly body. If anyone would have know of ufos it seems to me that he was one of the first people. We have learned that some of our astronauts admit that they have seen some pretty strange things out there, including ufos. President Nixon was feeling his oats, so to say, when he announced that we were going to deploy a space shuttle, explore Mars by a manned mission and explore Saturn. We know today that we weren't able to do some of this yet. Project Blue Book closed during the Nixon administration, was the president behind this? I guess we will never know the answer to that question, but we do know that Dr. Condon and Richard Nixon were long time enemies and Condon headed Blue Book. It is interesting to note that the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) disagreed with a statement that Dr. Condon had made when closing out Project Blue Book. The statement was that nothing new had been learned. They stated that there was no basis for this conclusion and stated that there was a small amount of cases that were well documented but unexplained. Was the government, or even just the Air Force, trying to keep these cases secret? Did Nixon know about them? There is a very famous story about President Nixon picking up a friend to show him something. That friend is said to have been Jackie Gleason, a very famous comedian of the time and what he was supposed to have shown him was dead alien bodies. Both Gleason and Nixon had a connection to the FBI and both were men who had a rather large library of ufo books. A woman claims to have had the wires crossed on her phone and intercepted a phone call between President Nixon and the North American Air Defense Command(NORAD). She hung up the phone thinking it was a joke, but when she picked it up again to call her mother, they were still talking. NORAD was tracking two flights of ufos. The White House denied that President Nixon ever spoke to NORAD on that day.

The third president I would like to talk about here was a proponent of releasing ufo material to the public. He was Gerald Ford. He was president from 1974 to 1977 and the 38th president of the United States. When Gerald Ford was the House Minority Leader, he made a proposal. This proposal was one that shook the establishment to its very foundations. He proposed that Congress investigate the rash of ufo sightings that were taking place in the 1960s. This must have went over like a lump of lead. On April 5, 1966 Congress held a hearing on ufos that accomplished almost nothing. I say ALMOST nothing because the Air Force promised an impartial civilian investigation on the subject, this became Project Blue Book, one of the biggest white washes in history. Congressman Ford pushed insistently for ufo info. Ford later complained in a response to a letter asking him what he had done to further the acquiring of ufo information for the people, that some presidents were not allowed to have ufo information and he was one of them. It looks like some other powerful people in government, perhaps MJ-12, didn't want the ufo information to reach the public. It is interesting to note that Ford's choice for vice president was the one person to have been rumored to have been asked by Eisenhower to handle the alien problem, Nelson Rockefeller.

Look for for the next Presidents and UFOs article tomorrow.

*MJ-12 was Majestic 12 a top secret panel of the brightest minds in science, the military and politics appointed to investigate ufos and given ultimate authority over ufos and aliens.
