What I am about to tell you is based on what some people believe. This does not by necessity mean that I believe it, but it is nice to know what is going on out there. Out there being the conspiracy and ufo communities. I don't like linking these two groups together, it is just that sometimes when you are talking of a ufo cover up, you just can't help but mention the conspiracy theory that is connected with it. I always say that not every conspiracy theory can be wrong. Statistically, there has to be at least a couple that are correct. UFOs are a little different. When you are talking about sightings, many reputable people have professed to having seen ufos. It is only when we get into the hidden document phase of ufos that conspiracy enters into the picture. Hey, you can't help but wonder, WHY, WHERE and WHEN, we are only human after all, aren't we?

I thought it might be interesting to look into some presidential administrations and see if we can find any supposed cover ups that deal with ufos or extraterrestrials. It seems that the likely place to start at is the administration of Franklin Roosevelt. Cordell Hull, was the Secretary of State under President Roosevelt. A letter has surfaced that states that Hull actually viewed four dead alien bodies in 1939. The story goes on to say that these bodies were stored in giant glass jars in the sub basement of the White House at the time and showed to at least one trusted friend. If this was the case, then President Roosevelt knew about aliens and had actually seen at least four dead ones. This story seems to generate a lot of laughs by some people. In 1950 Mrs. Roosevelt appeared on a radio show and one of the guests was a military pilot that had seen a ufo. Mrs. Roosevelt seemed quite interested in his comments and asked him some questions on the subject. Did she know something that the general public didn't? It might just be a coincidence, but the aircraft carrier Franklin D. Roosevelt is said to have seen more ufos than any other ship. Some say that when Franklin D. Roosevelt died in 1945 that he had been poisoned for some secret purpose. The man had been extremely sick and in deteriorating health for years. While this doesn't mean that he was absolutely not poisoned, he does indicate that he was in such frail health that dying suddenly was not out of the question. Documents have been found, that some people question the validity of, that refer to a top secret organization called Majestic 12. This was a panel comprised of the top scientific, military and political minds of the day who were said to have ultimate authority over all ufo and extraterrestrial matters.

President Harry Truman is also said to have been deeply involved with ufos. Some of the Majestic 12 documents bear his signature. Most people believe that his signature on the documents is genuine, but there are some that think it was a cut and paste job since the originals are nowhere to be found. You see, all the Majestic 12 documents that were released were photographed and the roll of film was sent to a individual and that is how they were discovered. Truman is credited with the ultimate cover up of the crash of a ufo at Roswell, New Mexico in 1947. I won't go into the story here because it has been rehashed so many times, but if you are interested you can look it up on this site. Truman was right on top of things, he created the CIA and NSA and received a daily intelligence report. Truman would never admit to believing in flying saucers or ufos and liked to say that he never had never seen a purple cow..., in response to questions about believing in ufos. Yet, Truman called a top general to the White House to ask him about all the ufo sightings. He instructed the general to supply a quarterly report on whether any ufos constituted a threat to the U.S. The reports were oral, which made many say that this was done to cover up the paper trail. The truth may have been a lot simpler. Truman hated to read memos, especially long memos and had made his displeasure known with the 47 page memo about the Abomb, years before. Truman had been the president when large amounts of ufos flew over the White House in 1952, in one of the most bizarre events in ufo history. Planes came up to chase them but they would accelerate from about 100 mph to over 7,200 mph instantly. This happened over a period of several times during the day of July 19, 1952 and again on July 26, 1952. The photos were run in many papers and there is no way of denying that this happened. Were the ufos sending a message to the president for some act that we don't know about?

President Carter was the first U.S. president to admit to a ufo sighting. The sighting was made before he became the president. He described it as being very big, very bright, changing colors and the size of the moon. He said he watched it for about 10 minutes and still couldn't figure out what it was. He also said that he would never make fun of others who said they saw a ufo.

Carter served one term as president, from January 20, 1977 to January 20, 1981. In 1976 - 1977 the senior George Bush was head of the CIA. The story goes that President Carter went to him and told him that he wanted to know everything about ufos and that the senior Bush said "NO". In another unsuccessful attempt to learn what the government knew about ufo, he ordered NASA to tell him everything they knew. Carter had stated to a reporter that if he ever became president he would make every piece of evidence on ufos that the government had available to everyone, yet when he became president this never happened, it was business as usual. The real question here is, what did he find out when he became president that prevented him from keeping his promise? The answer might be more scary than we can imagine, maybe he couldn't find out anything or maybe he was just so busy as president that he felt that he didn't have anymore time for something as trivial as the subject of ufos after several failures on finding data.

I'll have more on this topic next time since we have quite a few more modern presidents to go. Presidents may not appear in order of terms.
