Ufo sightings have been a little on the slim side this month in some places. It has been a hot month in some areas heat wise, I wonder if this has anything to do with sightings? Just an aside before we get into the ufo update, my son was telling me that he met someone the other day, who told him that when he was a child he remembers being on a military base in the midwest with his father, when a group of ufos came and interfered with missile tests. He said he was in front of a radar screen and could see all the blips on it. I know this isn't proof of anything, but I thought it was an interesting story.

Auckland, New Zealand, was home to a ufo the other day. It was seen in the daytime and some people claim to have taken videos of it flying over the beach. People state that they have checked with the Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Defense and that neither of them could identify the object. The object flew over an industrial park. It just happened that a famous photographer working on a magazine spread was on hand and began to snap photos of it. The producer of the art for the magazine was intrigued by the photos and had them enlarged, but still couldn't figure out what the object was. The director of the Roswell museum was contacted and shown the photos. There is a strange shadow on the object that shouldn't be in that area due to the position of the sun. Some experts think that it is ionized air. The local authorities passed it off as a bird, but that was not the case with anyone else or any national departments that saw the photos, I guess the locals felt the issue was too controversial.

Sometimes people that have seen ufo have kept their sightings secret. It may have been they were children and thought that they would be punished for making up stories or they may have been adults and just didn't want to face ridicule. Some of these stories come out in later years such as the one I am going to tell you. A teenager spotted a ufo hovering over a highway in Nebraska in the 1950s. The account is coming out now that the object was seen by three other people at the time. It was about 75 feet above the highway and had windows. Light was coming out of the windows He says that it was also observed by his father who actually drove the car under it. When he got home he was told never to talk about it.

Lake Tahoe, California, was the target for a ufo incursion in June 2006. A ufo was spotted in the sky at night. It was glowing and the glow changed from red to orange, then to amber. It was seen to bob up and down and move from side to side. One of the residents of the area made a video tape of the object. The object was described as close to the surface of the lake and bigger than anything in the night sky. The FAA stated that there was nothing in the area that they knew about, as did several military spokesmen for military airports in the area.

Sometimes new evidence is said to appear in old cases. Such is a case with the ufo that was sighted in Clovis, New Mexico, in 1976. The ufo was seen hovering in the sky and caused quite a stir in those days. Now a new photo is said to have been discovered of the ufo. It shows a fuzzy craft that is tubular shaped. Why is it that most ufo photos are fuzzy? I am sorry, just talking out loud. Another interesting thing is that there was a second ufo spotted the same week in Clovis and a photo of it appeared in the Clovis News Journal. Last month, June 2006, a ufo was reported in Soo Michigan. It was said to hover silently for over an hour. Many people saw it and it was described as very shiny.

It may be premature, but a conference was held in Hawaii on ways to have peaceful relations with extraterrestrial civilizations. Are they kidding, we can't even do that with our own earthly civilizations. One look around this planet would scare off any alien races that might have though about contacting us, the exception being a race so advanced that it doesn't have to worry about humans contaminating their morals. The conference was said to have drawn about 150 people worldwide.

Waterhen Lake, Canada has been experiencing sightings of ufos for the last couple of years. Many of the area's inhabitants have seen these objects in the sky, lending credence to the sightings. It is estimated that about 1200 people have seen the objects. So what are they seeing? Some witnesses describe the objects as looking like 2 frisbees, one on top of the other. They are above a lake in the area and have been described as alternating their heights. It isn't just a single object that has been sighted, as I am sure you have figured out by now, but as many as nine at a time have been seen. Have you noticed the way these things seem to like water? Could it be that somehow they can use water to refuel? Animal mutilations have also been reported in roughly the same area, but seem to have ended about a year ago.

A woman, who was in Washington, D.C., during the great ufo sightings over the White House in the 1950s and claims to have actually seen this event has seen ufos again. She now lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The woman is now 77 years old and because of this, many people doubt her report. It is a curse to grow old. She states that she went out onto her patio and noticed a bunch of lights. They seemed to be hovering and there were anywhere from 6 to 8 of them. She then saw a single object about 25 feet off the ground and about 1/8 th mile away. She said she came right back into the house, not wanting to be the victim of an abduction.

Some ufo experts are now saying that anything to do with ufos has been classified above Top Secret with the U.S. government. Because of this classification, much of the ufo evidence is drying up. Even documents that were declassified in the past are being reclassified as secret again. This is not only in the field of ufos but in many other areas.

A ufo appeared in Russia over the Yeysk Spit. The area is now showing crop circles and a Russian TV center is saying that they are not the work of human hands. This area is very famous for weddings and photography is popular in the area. A photographer arrived to do a wedding with a video recorder but when he got to the area he noticed a ufo just above the horizon. He taped it for 53 seconds. When the tape was examined it showed a disc shaped object moving above the ocean about 4 kilometers away. This is about 2.45 miles away. The Russians are planning to send a copy of the film to the U.S. for further analysis.

An English teenager was enjoying a BBQ in June 2006, when he saw a ufo. His mother ran out with the video camera and began to film. She zoomed in and a ufo was visible. The teenager described the object as about the size of a thumbnail when you hold out your hand. It seemed to be flying over a discarded RAF airbase that was near the house. An expert viewed the film and said he was convinced the video was genuine and he converted it to still photos for further study.

Well that is about it for this month, lets hope July's events are even more interesting.
