I bet that there is almost no one in this country that hasn't heard of area 51. I know of only one person,that didn't. someone in his thirties. When he was asked about area 51, he said, what is that? I think he might have thought I was talking about a rock band or something similar. Aside from this guy, I haven't met anyone who didn't know something about it. Let's review. Area 51 is one of the most secret bases in the United States. It is also known as Groom Lake, Dreamland and a few other titles. The base is so secret, that signs are posted warning people that if they go beyond a certain point, deadly force can be used. In other words, you can be shot. The workers are brought there with buses after they deplane and the buses have covered windows. It is said that there are captured ufos on the base and maybe even aliens under it. Supposedly this is one of the main reverse engineering facilities in this country. It is also said to be the place where new aircraft are being tested. The military states that it is ridiculous to think that it has ufos and that everything that people see in the area are planes.

I guess there is nothing new in what I told you, but I wanted to give you the background of Area 51 so that I could talk about other facilities in different countries that are said to be the equivalent of it. Let's start with Russia. Does Russia have it's own Area 51? Anyone who doesn't think so must be living in a box. As in the U.S., the Russians have several top secret bases such as the one at Yamantau Mountain. This site is mostly underground and is listed, along with the city of Mezhgorye as a closed territory. Here is a quote by the New York Times, "Hidden inside Yamantau mountain in the Beloretsk area of the southern Urals, the project involved the creation of a huge complex, served by a railroad, a highway, and thousands of workers." What are the Russians building? At first glance it seems to be a facility like the one we have at Cheyenne Mountain. Chyenne Mountain is one of the most accurate tracking stations in the world. It is run by the Air Force and detects the firing of missiles anywhere in the world. It is also a hardened base that can withstand a nuclear attack as long as it isn't a direct hit by a large yield bomb. Some people are saying that the base at Yamantau Mountain is a lot more than that. Due to the amount of ufo activity in Russia over the last 50 years or so and their policy of shooting down any ufos they can, there are people who feel the base is being built to protect against ufo attacks and to house downed ufos for reverse engineering, much the same as Groom Lake a/k/a Area 51 is said to do. This base is either meant to supplement the one at Kapustin Yar or maybe even to replace it, although I doubt that since billions must have been invested in Kapustin Yar which is said to be a huge secret base with an even more secret one under it about 1/2 mile that contains the remains of crashed saucers and cigar shaped ufos where reversed engineering is taking place.

Have the Chinese set up an Area 51 type base in the area between the border of China and India? The area has been disputed for years and the northern part is under Chinese control. It is in the Himalayas and is more of a pass than anything else. In 1962 the Chinese and Indian armies fought battles over this area. Many people in this area claim to have seen ufos coming from underground, then rising up and flying away at terrific speeds. Tourist monks have stated that they recently observed triangular shaped craft flying away and when they went to cross over to the Indian side to get a better look, they were refused entry. It is said that they had permits that allowed them to cross. The Chinese have built a strategic military highway on their side of the pass. Many people believe that there is at least one secret under ground base built by the Chinese, but others point out that it could be an Indian base. There is really no way to know if any base exists that was built by either side, but we have a lot of rumors. Are the Chinese trying to reverse engineer crashed ufos? Why wouldn't they? If every other major country feels the need to try and reverse engineer a ufo, of course China would too.

Britain is also said to have it's equivalent of Area 51 and the name of that base is the RAF's Rudloe Manor. It is located near the city of Bath. The area was an underground aircraft factory in World War II and at that time it was over 2.25 million square feet. It is assumed to have been heavily enlarged since then. It was hardened in the 1950s to help protect it against nuclear bombs. The area had been designated as the place to where the government would move in case of war. Deeper hardened levels were built but the extent of their construction is not known. Rumors began to circulate of strange experiments taking place at the facility. Many people think that the major mission of Rudloe Manor is to monitor ufo activity. There is such irony in this since the MOD (Ministry of Defense) stated that there are no ufos in Britain. One person that stated he observed a ufo said that he called a government phone number but was given a second number to call and that number was located at Rudloe Manor. Could there be wrecked ufos hidden there? Another part of this base is know as CCC and is said to be the most secret part, It is said to be linked by rail to London. Supposedly it is so secret that it is not listed on any maps and is said to not exist. Most believe that CCC stands for the Corsham Computer Center or Centre as the British would call it.

Lastly there is the rumor that Germany had an Area 51 type base well before anyone else. At the end of World War II plans were captured for a German flying saucer. Much has been made of this fact since the war. The story goes on to state that the people that designed the saucer escaped to a base in Antarctica and continued their work there. Supposedly they began to buy up companies in Argentina and Chile. Then the story goes on to state that the British fought the Falklands war to stop the Nazi takeover of the Falklands and that the British have fought a secret war at the South Pole. Yeah, I know, this does sound ridiculous but the story is out there. It also states that the Nazis had been befriended by aliens who helped them develop much of their World War II technology and that their hidden base has never been found.

One thing is for sure, once you combine hidden bases, Nazis, ufos and the like, you have to be at least a little interested, don't you?
