Is there something strange in some of our clouds? For thousands of years clouds have fascinated us and at times scared us. Many of us, even to this day, have glanced up at the sky and thought, to ourselves, that a certain cloud looked uncannily like a face or animal or even a building. It is pretty easy to look up into a sky full of clouds and see a horse jumping over a fence or a tiger getting ready to pounce. Do we actually see these things or are our minds filling in the blanks and using a few well placed curves to draw us a picture? Minds do that you know. Clouds have always had a mysterious quality to them and sometimes a foreboding one. Those dark thunder clouds have scared many a person. Even religion uses the mystique of clouds, such as Christ rising on a cloud. But do clouds hide something sinister? Are clouds being used to camouflage some presence?

In the great war, World War I planes frequently hid in the clouds to come out and pounce on the enemy usually from the direction where the sun was behind them so that their enemy would be blinded. A trick of World War I pilots was to use their right thumb to block out the sun so they could see. In World War II the Germans hid in the clouds over France so they could surprise the RAF. There is some talk about cloud modification at this point but nothing substantial. Some RAF pilots thought that the clouds seemed abnormally high.

Now this brings us to the present day. There is a theory that ufos are able to form a cloud around them and can hide inside it. It also is said that the cloud is radar proof and the craft inside it can not be detected by using radar. Anyone that saw the movie Independence Day saw an example of how these ufos supposedly use cloud cover. Now there is a lot on the internet by many different authorities debunking ufos and saying that ufos are really different kinds of clouds, but what we are talking about here is ufos hiding in clouds not clouds mistaken for ufos. Another theory states that ufos sometimes hide in thunder storms. This one seems unlikely to me, but you never know. In 70 AD a ufo was seen traveling through the clouds. A cloud was the cause of a British regiment to disappear when they marched into it at Gallipoli in World War I. The cloud was atop a hill, and the men were never heard from again. Sometimes ufos are seen darting between clouds. In the late 1890s some balloonists were flying up into a strange looking cloud. Then something weird happened. An electrical charge began to cover the pilot's hands. The deeper he got into the cloud the more powerful the charge became and the more painful. Finally the pilot of the balloon decided to descend and landed hastily. Was there something in the cloud or was it merely some sort or natural electrical discharge? I guess we will never know, but that pilot of long ago didn't think it was natural.

Clouds are not that hard to create. NASA does it! In June of 2003 NASA shot four rockets into the atmosphere from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. Three of these rockets released trimethylaluminum (TMA) which formed clouds that could be seen for hundreds of miles. We don't need NASA creating strange clouds, we already have plenty of strange ones without them.

Cloud settles down to earth

What I find very strange about this picture is the fact that the cloud is down to earth. I know that this can happen, especially in the higher elevations, but it does look mighty strange doesn't it? This is a thunder cloud and that is precisely one of the cloud types the ufos are supposed to be hiding in.

I guess you noticed how dense this cloud bank is. It would be easy for any craft to hide in one of these babies.

These Greenish Blue clouds are strange looking indeed. What could be causing this strange color, is it just light reflecting off the thin atmosphere?

Yes there are a lot of mysterious clouds up there and some of them even look like ufos. The Lenticular cloud pictures above reveal the circular shape of these type of clouds. Notice the picture on the right, there is a circular cloud in the upper right area that could easily be mistaken for a ufo under the right circumstances. There are even better pictures of these types of clouds around that really would confuse a sky watcher on a dark moon lit night.

Strange clouds are always being reported in the Bermuda Triangle and many of the phenomena are somehow linked to these strange clouds. It seems that these clouds are charged with some sort of particles. It is said that these clouds have been charged with ions or electricity. The ion charged cloud theory states that aircraft flying through one of these clouds would meet with disastrous effects and the pilot would pass out. But why are these clouds charged this way, did it happen naturally or did something else take a hand in it? Are these merely empty clouds or is there something in these clouds that doesn't want to be discovered?

In Australia near Mt. Solitary, there is an infamous area where ufos have been spotted time and time again jumping from cloud to cloud. Many people have disappeared from this region over the years and have never been heard from again. So what have we got here, are we being fooled by aliens who use a special type of cloud cover to observe us from and maybe even abduct us or is it all just farce, I leave it up to you to decide?
