Strange Events
Sometimes you read something that makes you do a double take. I was reading a story about a student who assisted on a dig. He claimed that the temperature in the sun was near 120 degrees. He talked about something I had never heard of, it was things that were dug up that are considered "out-of-situ". Not having worked on any archeological digs myself, I am hardly the one to comment on practices at a dig, but the student claims that he was allow to keep an artifact that he had uncovered from one of King Solomon's palaces because it was declared "out-of-situ". It was some sort of stone perfume bottle. Maybe I am naive but I thought that anything dug up at a dig was the property of the state. Well, be that as it may, somehow the bottle landed up in a garbage dump and was never found. Apparently many items were left in an apartment and the landlord decided to get rid of them at the Meadville dump in Pennsylvania. Before you go running down there, this took place over 30 years ago. Can you imagine what that bottle must have been worth? King Solomon must be rolling over in his grave. As if this wasn't bad enough, other ancient items were in the apartment that were also lost. Several ancient plates, a Bronze Age Loom weight, a lamp from the 10th century B.C. and an ancient water jug. You have to wonder what all this stuff was doing in an apartment and why it was left there? I don't know how many people remember this, but a couple of years ago a box was found in a tomb in Israel, that excited many people. The box was an ossuary, and supposedly held the bones of Jesus's brother according to French archeologist, Andre Lemaire. But there is a problem that was discovered with the box. The box is genuine but is not of native stone, but stone from the area of Northern Syria or Cyprus. If this wasn't enough to cast doubt on it's origins, experts are now saying that the inscription on the box is a fake. They claim that the inscription was added to the box in modern times. The owner of the box or ossuary, stated he believed that it was genuine and that the committee of experts reached an erroneous conclusion. An ossuary was common for storing the bones of loved ones from 20 B.C. to 70 A.D. Did the U.S. government have photographs of Noah's ark and hide them from the public? No one can tell for sure if this is true, but they did have photographs of something atop Mt. Ararat in Turkey. For centuries people have thought that the ark was atop this mountain. Even Marco Polo returned with stories about it being there. Supposedly it was exposed more at some times than others because of the melting of the snow. The government photos were from 1949 and were finally released under the Freedom of Information Act by the CIA and DIA, here they are:

If you look at the enlargement on the right you will notice how there seems to be a square angle on the right of the object. Is this the ark? How can you really tell from these photos? The answer is that we can',t but the photos are certainly tantalizing. Maybe if we had the access to those 'better' photos that the government is said to have, we might get an answer to our question. So, now that we know that the government had suspected ark photos since 1949 that they hid from us, what other photos do they have? Do they have photos of the location of Atlantis or photos of a Yeti or maybe a really good photo of a ufo? How can we ever be sure, after all, they denied having these photos for over 50 years. With all this ground penetrating radar and sonar maybe they have photos of what is under the Sphinx or maybe they know more about the great pyramid than even we suspect, or maybe they even have photos of ruins on Mars or the Moon? Oh well, enough speculation. It is being claimed that Spanish is the fastest growing language on the planet. It certainly seems so in the United States where even the New York City subways give instructions in English and Spanish. Not everyone agrees with this assessment however, the Klingon Language Institute claims that Klingon is the fastest growing language. In all fairness I have never heard any subway announcements in Klingon but I could be wrong because most of the announcements can't be understood anyway. Did you see the article where scientists have found microbes living two miles deep inside a glacier. Some of the types of microbes have never been seen before. The Glacier was in Greenland. So what does a microbe eat that is frozen in the ice? Apparently nothing. A better question is, how can it survive eating nothing? Scientists think that maybe they are dormant while in the ice or have a very slow metabolism. Hey how slow could it be, some of the ice is 120,000 years old? Did you ever wonder why the Apollo Space Program stopped with several huge Saturn rockets ready to go? You hear things like space travel had become boring to the American people or the aliens on the moon warned us off. The part about the public becoming bored may be partly true. As the space program continued on, the people paid less and less attention to it, but that could have been caused, in part, because the space program was receiving less and less coverage in the media. The politicians saw this, knew that there was a huge pool of money allocated for these flights and were dying to get some of it. Political support for Apollo just evaporated and that is why we have no bases on the moon today. |
