I think that anyone that has been into computing for at least ten years has to look back and think that the ability to watch videos and movies over the Internet seems like a miracle. I have been into computing from the early days and took computing in college in the days when there were no personal computers, just huge mainframes that were much less powerful than the desktops that we all use today. It was no easy task to program one of these antiques. You had to write the program on punch cards without a machine to try them out on and then take your thousands of cards down to the computer room to run them when there was free computer time and no one ever got the program correct the first run, so you would then have to go back to punch more cards and try again.
Today all that is a thing of the past and our computers are so powerful that we can accomplish almost any task that we can think of and we don't need to know how to program even a single line of code. I was looking over YouTube the other day and I realized that there was an awful lot of strange stuff on that site and I though that it might be interesting to point some of it out. There are videos on almost anything there. Some videos are nothing more than a complete waste of time and I can't even figure out who would want to post them, but others are of such an unusual nature that they are at least interesting to some people. Then there are the videos of singers and bands which are quite popular. As I said, I am only going to stick with the unusual for now.
I couldn't help but like a video that was called unusual things in the world. I think that the typical reader of About Facts Net will agree with me.
