Is There Or Was There Life On Mars?

All of a sudden the chances for life on Mars are looking better and better. For those that are unaware of the fact, large pockets of methane have been found and this is leading scientists to the conclusion that it may be coming from living creatures. I remember when it was first reported a few years ago and was said to be coming out of caves. At that time, most scientists were afraid to say too much else about this fact, but now, some of them actually believe there might be life on Mars after all. One planetary scientist stated, “The fact that we have found three discrete regions where Mars is releasing methane at this time means we have a window into processes occurring under the surface of the planet. The production (of methane) is likely due to only one of two possibilities. The first is geochemistry, the second is biology. That raises much interest on which one is the dominant production mechanism. [If it's geochemical in origin] we might expect the methane to be released only under regions that are volcanic districts. On the other hand, there could be biology that's going on either very near the surface or deep below the permafrost layer.”

Wow this guy is really sticking his neck out. The truth is though that the most they are hoping for is some sort of microscopic life, they don't expect a bear to come running out of a cave, or anything like that, although it could happen. We could even encounter a type of life that is not dependent on oxygen, but uses some chemical process to keep its body going. One of the things that really is exciting scientists is the fact that the methane is being renewed. It turns out that NASA admits to having monitored this stuff for over five years. Could it have been for a lot longer than that? Maybe they even know more than they are telling us about life on Mars?

I recall a big flap a couple of years ago when the camera of one of the rovers was aimed at an ice patch on the planet. The talk at NASA was all about the ice, but that was not the only thing that was going on at the time. Many different sources were saying that the camera had caught a glimpse of something that moved under the ice. One source stated that it looked like something swam by. Could there be fish type life on Mars? If it turns out that there is a lot of water under the surface, then one can not help but ask the question, ”Why Not”? Mars might turn out to be a place that doesn't have much life on the surface, but could be teeming with life just under it. It would be interesting if we not only found life in the waters of Mars, but it turned out to be some of the same life we have in the waters of Earth. What would that imply? It might imply that life was brought from Mars to Earth in the distant past.

Face On Mars

There is all that other stuff that was found on Mars too. Things that could indicate that intelligent life existed at one time on the planet. The huge face in Cydonia, along with the pyramid and several other structures are said to exist. As we know NASA has said that the face is just an illusion and showed us a photo of a mound that it says was confused for a face. The only problem with the photo is that much of the data that makes up a photo was left out of it. Why would NASA show us a faulty photo and affirm that this is what the face really looks like? We have gone into different reasons before and one of the main ones was to keep us thinking that there was no other intelligent life in the universe, because they thought we couldn't handle the truth. They think that if we find out that we are not alone, it will lead to the disintegration of our social fabric and the end of our religious institutions. How wrong could they be? Most religions would accept that the fact that we are not alone and most people in the west are now intelligent and sophisticated enough to handle this. The problem, if one does exist, might be in the third world, but they are in such a state of flux right now, we probably wouldn't notice the difference.

Mars Statue?

Every once in a while something is noticed in a Mar's photo taken by NASA and usually there is no comment about if from official channels. The last thing that I know about was a photo that seemed to show a wooden plank near the lander. It is hard to imagine that a rock could look so much like a plank, but I think that this is possible. Before that, it was something that looked like a living being or a statue. That was talked about a lot and even hit the general news. We never got a satisfactory answer about that either. Could there be a few living beings on Mars and could we have been lucky enough to have caught one with a camera? I have to say that I studied that photo and run it through a lot of tests and I have come to the conclusion that the object could have been a statue. It is almost impossible to believe that anything could have formed itself naturally into a statue, so I believe that it was made by intelligent beings.

There have been all sorts of things that have caught our eye in photos of Mars. Many of these objects could be indicators of past civilizations. What appear to be arrow heads have been photographed, round ball like objects, objects that look like smashed plates and pottery. Some objects have even looked like sculptures of faces. I remember seeing what looked like a fancy carved cornice of the type that is used over a stone doorway and such. There is a lot of stuff that looks like it is just laying around up there. What appear to be spear heads were also visible in some photos. One photo showed what appeared to be a rabbit like creature. I am talking about a live creature and not a carving.

Not only do we have to get to this place, but it is necessary to understand our place in life. Who knows, maybe we all came from there? Maybe Martians were the modern humans that appeared and succeeded the Neanderthals. It just might turn out that we are not from Earth after all.
