What Would Another Dimension Look Like?

I have talked about other dimensions many times before. When I talk about other dimensions, I am not just making up a theory, this is accepted by many scientists, of course that doesn't mean that they are absolutely correct, but it does mean that they believe that they are. There is one thing that I have never discussed when I have mentioned dimensions and that is the fact that although they may exist, and we may figure out how to get to them one day, the path to them may not be a constant one, but one that changes over time. Where does this idea come from? It is believed by many that the earth puts out a vibration and this vibration has something to do with other dimensions. Those that believe this also believe that the frequency of the vibration is changing, thus changing the entry points to those dimensions.

I think that it is very hard for us, the ordinary people of this planet, to wrap our minds around the fact that other dimensions may exist, after all we see nothing to indicate this. We are told things like we live in a 3 dimensional world by some and a 4 dimensional world by others, the 4th dimension being time. Our brains are not really equipped to look beyond these dimensions. We know that the 3 dimensions are length, width and height and yet we find it almost impossible to imagine anything past these three with the possible exception of time. Imagine if someone said that they came from another dimension and that one had length, width, height and negative length, negative width and negative height. We would be totally lost trying to imagine this. The greatest minds in this world have tried to imagine other dimensions and have had a very hard time doing it.

Most of us, when we think of other dimensions, think of dimensions that have more attributes than ours, but what if there were beings that lived in a 2 dimensional world? They might have width and length, but no height. Could a being like this standup and just disappear before our eyes? Taking this a step further, there are those that claim that some of the very strange UFO sightings, where UFO are doing things like breaking into several objects, or changing shapes and even disappearing before our eyes, may be due to the fact that they come from other dimensions and behave quite differently from those objects in this dimension. Any object from a dimension that had more options than ours would seem strange indeed to us and would act in ways beyond our wildest imaginations.

One of the theories that I find very interesting, which is not to say that I agree with it, is the one that states that we, the most advanced people of this planet, are not the ones that are likely to contact or intercept messages from other extraterrestrial cultures. Some believe that the primitive people of this planet have a much better chance and may have already contacted aliens. They base this upon the fact that they have been trying to contact others using nothing more than their brains and that most abductees state that aliens use telepathic powers for communication. If this is true and there are alien races that are using telepathy then who would have the better chance at communication, those that are using their brains, or those that are scanning for radio waves?

String theory states that there are no fewer than 10 dimensions and yet who can describe even one of these? Critics state that the reason we can not imagine what extra dimensions look like, is that they can not exist. One example of a 4 dimensional world is given. It is a world where we are in the middle of a hollow sphere and equally distant from all sides and we are able to walk in any direction and still stay equally distant from all sides. We just can not imagine this no matter how hard we try. One of the beliefs by scientists that believe in string theory is that these extra dimensions are wrapped up in the curled-up space that was theorized by two scientists named Kaluza and Klein. I have said many times that I am not a scientist and therefore not qualified to refute scientific findings, but we are dealing here with theory since no one has ever seen an extra dimension and I find it strange that any dimension other than our own would be curled up.

One theory that I consider “cool” is the one that states that we live in a dimension that is NOT 3D. Yes not 3D, but the reason that we don't know this is that our brains are not capable of detecting that fact. Is it possible that we really live in say, the 10th dimension or somewhere like that? That would certainly knock the scientific community on its collective ear. The theory states that no matter how hard we try to verify this, we will never be able to do it, because of the limitations of our brains. This theory states that there is only one all encompassing dimension and that may be seen differently by different beings. If this is true, for all we know, we could be living on a world with other beings that we can not even detect and maybe they can not detect us.

The questions of other dimensions has been a hot topic of late and the more advanced we become, the hotter it will probably get. There is always the other side of the coin though and that is, “what you see is what you get”. What I mean by that is that we live in a 3 dimensional world and there are no more dimensions, no matter how much we would like there to be more. Even if we find what we like to call more dimensions in the future, they might not be more dimensions at all, but doorways of some type that already exist in our own dimension.

I would love to give my personal opinion here and I think that I will. Something tells me that scientific theory, such as string theory, will be proven wrong some day and something else will take its place. Will that something give us all the answers? Probably not.
