New Evidence Shows That The Theory OF Evolution Could Be Wrong!

Country of the free, free will, freedom to do what we want, these are all very nice sayings and it could turn out, that none of this is true no matter where we live on earth. No this is not a political article. What I am saying here is the opinion of a small but growing group of scientists. These men and women believe that everything we do is dictated by the genes in our bodies. I personally do not like to think that this could be true, because it could conceivably let some of the biggest villains in history off of the hook. Take Hitler for example, we all know about the atrocities that he allowed to happen under his watch. He was a murderer, a madman and as a lot of people are prone to say, he was evil. Now some scientists are asking us to believe that people like this of victims, victims of their own bodies and that they have no choice about what they do, because it has been predetermined by programming. The programming that I speak about is hardwired into our genes. I am sure that most of us have seen the familiar sign of the helix. It is actually DNA that does the program. The DNA molecule is formed as to intertwine helices. Many times our DNA is compared to the software, or programs in a computer. It is said just as the computer has no choice in what it does, that the same could be said for mankind. As I said previously I am not a big fan of this theory, but it is certainly worth discussing.

There have been several interesting scientific studies that show just how easily we can be controlled. One study involved hundreds of volunteers. The study had to do with self control. You would think that self-control is something that we all have in varying degrees, and that we never get any more than we are born with. Recent experiments have shown that this is not true at all. One study was based on increasing self-control. Scientists wanted to see if those in the group could increase their self-control, if one of their group had extremely good self-control. The idea was that they were wondering if this good self-control would rub off on the others? It turned out that their suspicions were correct. If one person in a room with many others exerts very good self-control, this helps the others to increase their self-control. The scientists were very happy with these results, until they continued the experiment. You may wonder why there was a sudden rush of disappointment? This was due to the fact that unexpected results were also obtained. This unexpected results had to do with the fact that if someone in the group has a lot less self-control, it pulls down the rest of the group's self-control. So what have we learned from this particular experiment? We have learned that self-control, while it may be preprogrammed in us in different degrees, is very easily influenced. This has even greater implications for humans. If self-control can be easily influenced, then humans can probably be easily influenced in other areas. This in itself could account for the reason that Germans in World War II, flocked to the NAZI regime.

If I were to take a non-smoker and have him live with smokers for long period of time, there is a very good chance that he too would become a smoker. The chances of this happening were much greater in years past before we found out that smoking can kill you. That knowledge just might exert enough influence on the non-smoker to stop him from smoking even though he is surrounded by heavy influences to smoke. Many years ago I went to the military as a non-smoker. The military plied all of us with carton upon carton of cigarettes and it wasn't long before everyone smoked. This is a very good example of how easily we can be influenced. Some atheists are contending that religion is nothing more than a function of our genes. How is this possible you ask? They claim that there is a certain gene called the God Gene that increases spirituality in a person. According to them, this gene is found in the temporal lobe of the brain and causes people to feel there is another presence around them. They claim there was also a tie-in between this gene and aliens, fairies and such. We used to have a saying for this when I was young, it was hogwash. I have nothing against atheists and they are certainly entitled to believe anything they want, but when they come up with stuff like this, it goes beyond common sense. Can you imagine saying that most people who believe in God do it because they have a God Gene? You have to admit it certainly sounds foolish.

Scientists are also finding out that in some instances a gene that is damaged can be fixed. Scientists at Purdue University couldn't believe their eyes when they found that some plants keep a corrected version of an inherited gene. This is akin to your car's spare tire. We get a flat, we take it off and we put out a perfectly good tire to replace it. The plant that has the defective gene is somehow able to bypass the usual mechanisms of heredity. Taking this a step further, they have also found that the spare gene is not made of DNA. We all know that DNA is material that programs our genes, so what is going on here? One of the questions that this has brought about is, how does this affect evolution? Evolution comes about when genes mutate, but if genes are being replaced when they mutate, how can we have evolution at all? It is really strange, the more one studies life and the functions of biology, the more mysteries seem to arise. Just when we thought we understood the way genes work, we find out that there are other types of genes that some plants keep as spares. Then we find out that they are not even made out of the same stuff. Could it be that we will find out that evolution is not really what we think it is, or at least it is not fueled in the way that we have been taught? One evolutionary biologist described these findings the following way, " really strange and unexpected results". He states that these findings are going to be extremely important, if the observation holds up and applies to an even wider field in nature. Perhaps humans have spare genes that carry corrected codes and we are not aware of it yet? I wonder how this will affect the entire human genome project?

Here is another thought on the subject. If it is found that we all walk around with spare genes that could correct any genetic problems that we might have, do we already have the answer to immortality within ourselves? Could it be that merely substituting a corrected gene for a mutated one every once in a while, could keep all bodies going forever? This question could not have been asked even a few years ago, because we had no knowledge of spare genes, but now it is an extremely valid question. In case you are wondering how this mechanism was discovered in plants, let me explain it to you. Plants were found that had two mutated genes and because of this the plants should not have been able to produce any normal offspring. Yet at least 10% of all these plants had normal spring, something that was considered impossible. In order for the offspring to have been normal, something had to be affecting the actual DNA sequence in the plants. When a mutated gene known as hothead was analyzed, it was found that some mutated DNA units had been changed back to normal. One scientist said that at that moment they were all in complete shock. The scientists knew that a template was required for this to happen. The template would have been a corrected copy of the gene, but at that point they didn't know that one existed. They searched for a second copy of the hothead gene, but couldn't find one. A copy did exist, but the problem was it was not made out of DNA.

If more of these backup genes are found, there are going to have to be a lot of changes in our theories about life. For over a hundred years scientists have guarded Darwinism with a ferocity that may be unmatched in any other field of science. It takes very little for a scientist, who even suggests that there may be other theories out there besides Darwinism, to be blackballed and made a laughingstock of his peers. Science has a long history of wallowing in ignorance. Many times this is caused by outside influences, such as religion. If Darwinism and Darwin appear to be incorrect, most of the scientific community related to the field of life, will have to rethink everything that they thought was true. Since most Darwinists are totally unbending and unwilling even to accept the smallest chance that they are not completely correct in their theories, this could really destroy the foundation of the life sciences in the world. When we look at different government agencies and such, we find that almost every scientist in them is a Darwinist. It certainly would be bizarre if all the answers to immortal life were already in every body.

It just might turn out that we have just hit the golden age of discovery, as far as human heredity and longevity are concerned. If scientists are not forced to only use new discoveries in the life science for the rich and famous, then mankind may be reaching its ultimate goal. The ultimate goal being immortality. With that immortality and the ability to correct genetic abnormalities, many of the diseases that we face today should be things of the past, if it is discovered that humans contain a spare gene. Sure there will be social problems and somehow populations will need to be limited, or extended out to other planets, but the next 20 years or so should be great ones for those of us that are still around.
