Electricity has to be one of the strangest things that we have on Earth. Some may wonder why I say this, the reason is very simple. We depend on electricity in our everyday lives for almost everything we do. Our appliances are powered by it, our computers and cell phones run on it and even our bodies use it to keep us functioning. Is it just pure coincidence that we discovered the same power that is used to keep us alive? The funny part is that we really don't fully understand what electricity is. We know that electricity is energy and science tells us that energy goes on forever. Most of us believe in a soul and that has been defined as energy of some type. Could it be that that when we die the energy flows from our body and this is what the soul is made of? The fact that energy doesn't die and that most people believe in a soul is another great coincidence, or is it? People have been believing in souls longer than anyone can figure out.

Some scientists say that anyone who believes in life after death is a fool. They go on to say that the human body is composed of atoms and when we die our bodies deteriorate and these atoms simply float away until nothing is left. They miss the point totally. These people are talking in terms of the material. None of us are crazy, or ignorant enough to believe that our bodies survive after death, yet these educated people talk about bodies when they should be talking about energy. There is always a problem when you have no way to verify something and life after death is one of the biggest mysteries that face us as humans. There have been tantalizing hints that some of us may have lived before. Quite a few people, mostly children, remember facts about deceased people that they should not know about. Some have even been taken to the residences of where these people had lived and they knew everything about them. This is very strange isn't it?

There is also always the case for Jesus. Jesus was killed in front of many people and put in a tomb and yet he was seen after he returned to Earth and seen by quite a few people. It may have been a long time ago, but it is still impossible to explain without citing divine intervention. There are those that say Jesus was an alien. If we believe that UFOs and such have crashed on this planet and some of the alien crews have died, then we have to believe that being an alien doesn't grant them the ability to come back from the dead. No, coming back from the dead would be something very special indeed.

There are those scientists that state that if we had a spirit inside of us science would have known about it, since it would have to interact with our bodies and the atoms within. Again I see shortsightedness here. Do we know about every conceivable type of energy that exists in the universe? Do we know what type of energy we might find in the interior of a black hole? We talk about dark energy, but it is hypothetical and we really don't know much about it except that is is supposed to be what makes the universe expand. Even though we don't know much about it, that doesn't stop us from saying that it is responsible for about 73% of the energy in the universe. Well excuse me, how can scientists accept this and yet deny that we have a soul when saying dark energy exists is just as speculative? We only say it exists because we have no other way of accounting for why the universe acts the way it does.

Some scientists come up with equations that they say show it is impossible for a soul to exist, but these equations are based on the material world, thus I have to ask if they are really valid for something that is more or less supernatural?

Mary Meets An Angel

There are many sightings on record where crowds of people have seen previously dead people appear to them. Starting at the beginning, the bible tells us that Jesus brought Lazarus back to life after he had been dead for awhile and that Lazarus was seen by people. The Virgin Mary appeared to over 500,000 people over the years in Egypt, on top of a Coptic Orthodox church in the mid 1960s. See the video below:

This is certainly not the first place the Virgin Mary has appeared. The Virgin Mary appeared in Champion Wisconsin and a child was cured of leukemia overnight, although the doctors want the credit.

Numerous people claim that they have seen the Virgin Mary in Bosnia and that she first appeared in June of 1981. So many people claim to have seen her that the Vatican formed a special committee to investigate the appearances. It is said that she stated, “I came here because there are many true believers here. I want to be with you to enlighten you and reconcile the world.”

Over thousands of years there have been quite a few times where people have seen those that had died. I am not a big believer in the paranormal, but there are a couple of cases that seem to defy explanation. The appearances of people that had died to groups of people, especially in those cases when scientific investigation has taken place and no explanations can be found, are hard to deny. Do we have a soul? I believe that we do. Could it be composed of some unknown form of energy? Maybe, or maybe it is composed of something completely different that we have no idea about today.
