Billy Meier. The name sounds familiar but who is this person? Most people who are interested in UFOs know the name of Billy Meier very well. Meier is a person who claims to have actually communicated on a personal level with aliens from another planet. Supposedly these aliens came from the Pleiades star system. I think that most of us know that it would be pretty easy to find people that have claimed to do this and many of them would have been committed to a mental institution. As a matter of fact I have even interviewed a very famous person who has made this claim. When you talk about things like this, there are several different things that could be true. The first is that a person is just seeking publicity for some purpose. The second reason is that the person is suffering from a mental illness. The third reason could be that contact really did take place. Most people would never buy into the third reason, so that if someone really did make contact, they would have a very hard time convincing most people of this. Below is a link to a video that shows Meier in a good light: On top of all this, Mr. Meier also claims that he has met aliens who are from a different dimension. When he talks about alien contacts he states that they go way back in his life, all the way back to 1942 and he states that the Pleiadeians were human like, and that he had contacts with a female extraterrestrial from there that lasted for over 11 years. If I were asked what made him so famous, I would have to say that it was his photographs of UFOs. Some people claim that his UFO photographs are the best ones ever taken and that some clearly show the underside of UFOs which contain compartments that have been theorized by scientists as what would be required for anti-gravity travel. The problem for Meier is that while many skeptics have come out against these photos, some UFO investigators also have. Meyer states that the aliens that come from a different dimension are located beyond the Pleiades star system, in a system and are called the Plejarens. He states that what makes them so unusual is that they operate one second ahead of us in our future. In 1975 Meier established an institute to study all that he had learned. Books have even been published that claim to be records of what was said when he was in contact with extraterrestrials. Don't try and read them unless you read German however. One of the things that Meier stated was that the aliens had told him to transcribe some of the conversations between them and that the purpose for this was to create a record of alien contact. In order to prove that he was in contact with aliens, he produced photos of the Apollo – Soyuz docking in 1975, along with very distant astronomical phenomena. Some of his critics include famous UFO investigators such as Stanton Friedman and Jacques Vallée, who state that the photos are fakes. Beamship One of Mr. Meier's most famous photos shows him sitting on a hill in Switzerland with UFOs in the background. His photos of what he calls Beamships, have been photographed many times and while they are disk shaped they still have a unique design to them. His critics claim that some of his photos and drawings are taken from science fiction books, paintings and television programs and they claim that some of his other photos exhibit problems that are unique to cut and paste techniques. Below is a video from YouTube on Billy Meier. It is very interesting to note that in the YouTube video one investigator claims that a photo of a UFO really showed a model, because it was in front of a tree not behind it, and yet the other photographic expert does not address this at all. Wouldn't you think that if this was proven to be the case, that would be the end for Billy Meier, yet it wasn't? I have to say that when I looked at certain Meyer videos, they stood out in my mind as being staged. Some of them looked like models hanging on strings just swaying back and forth. One has to wonder after seeing something like this, how anyone could take any of the photos seriously, even though some of them may look very real. Does it make sense to think that some photos would be real while others would be hoaxes? In my mind it certainly doesn't and I would have to say that if some of the photos are hoaxes, then they are all hoaxes and just because it is yet to be discovered how some were taken, this certainly doesn't prove them to be real. Below is an 8mm film by Billy Meier of a Beamship: There are still people around today that believe that Billy Meier's photographs are genuine. The problem is that people want to believe, but believing is not enough. If someone believes something without any evidence, or with so-called evidence that has been proven false, or suspect, does it matter that they really believing it? They might as well just make a blanket statement without any evidence that says that they believe in UFOs. Some people have done this and it is their right to say anything they want to. This is what I call a personal opinion. It is not meant to convince others of anything, unlike the Billy Meier photographs, which are meant to convince everybody that he had some sort of a relationship with extraterrestrial beings. This is known as a hoax and in some cases is even against the law. I am not saying that Billy Meier broke the law, I am just saying that he could have if he is looking for some sort of monetary gain by using fraudulent evidence, but of course I don't know what the laws are in Switzerland, where he is a citizen and I certainly don't know if he has tried to get financial gain by fooling individuals. Not everyone believes as I do, some may find the following video link interesting: Over the years there have been many UFO hoaxers. Some of them claimed that they had been taken on space ships to the planet Venus and others claimed that they could summon UFOs by using telepathy. Many others had their own schemes. The problem for UFO investigators is that all of this stuff causes ridicule for them when they try and do a scientific investigation. Add to this all the disinformation that has been put out on the subject and you begin to realize how hard it is to do an investigation into a UFO sighting. Some people just enjoy their minute of fame when they make these outrageous claims, others feel it makes them important. The last thing we need, if we are really trying to find out if there are such things as UFOs piloted by extraterrestrials, are people clouding the issue. |
