Ken: Dennis: Yeah I was at the dig for the last day. That was done by the University of New Mexico archaeological team and the Sci-fi Channel. Ken: That's right. They don't seem to have ever announced what they found? Dennis: Well they had about 60 bags of material that they picked up and to my knowledge, so far none of it has produced anything of value. I think there is some material that is being analyzed forensic testing or something that has not been finished yet. One of the interesting things about the dig was that they brought in a backhoe and dug. There was supposed to be a path where this thing came down and slid across the ground and made an impression and after 60 years up here with the wind and the sand and dust and stuff, that would fill up over that period of time. So they brought in a backhoe and did some digging across that trench. If you go down a distance of 2 to 2 ½ feet there is a definite difference in the strata of the earth down there. I think that is something that should be looked at more carefully in the future. I think there is going to be another dig done this year or next year. Ken: I didn't know that. Dennis: Yeah, and the follow-up which was ”The Truth About The UFO Crash At Roswell”. They have two books, one is ”The UFO Crash At Roswell”, and the other is ”The Truth About The UFO Crash At Roswell”. I don't know what the differences is, is it the same book with additional title? Ken: Or one is not the truth I guess. Dennis: I guess. Ken: The book "The UFO Crash At Roswell" changed the dates from the book that came before it, "The Roswell Incident", by Charles Berlitz and William L. Moore. Which account is more accurate? Dennis: Do you recall the dates? Ken: No, but I know there were different than the ones from the book by Berlitz and Moore. Dennis: Like I said before I think the date that most serious researchers are looking at is July 4, the night of July 4 as the date of the crash. If you look at the time line, for Walter Haut to put out the press release that was on the 8th because that is in the Roswell Record and other newspapers, so you have the 5th, 6th and 7th. Maj. Marcel would have went out to the ranch on the 7th and spent the night, so that leaves the 5th and 6th. I think the 4th was a Friday, I am not positive, but I do think the 4th was a Friday. The ranch foreman would have had chores to have to do and would have not just been able to just jump up and ride 60 miles 60 years ago on dirt roads. He had to finish chores before he could come to town. It is my understanding that he came to town on Sunday, which would have been the 6th. He would've found the material on the 5th and came to town on the 6th. He would have taken the truck back to the ranch on the 7th and the military would have gone out with him. On the 8th they came back to town and on the 8th the material was shipped to Fort Worth and the press release put out. Ken: Another thing about the book put out by Schmidt and Randall is that they say that Brazel led the Army to the second crash site. That is the only reason why I brought this up and I was wondering where they could have possibly gotten that information from? Dennis:
To a second crash site? Ken: Yeah. Dennis: Unless they're talking about the site where they think the bodies were found which was about a mile or a mile and one half from the debris field? Memo Stating UFOs Are Not Ours Ken: Yeah that could be, maybe that is what they are referring to. Dennis: Ken: Oh I know I am well aware of that. Dennis:
That is a problem and I have spent way too much time putting out fires instead of doing good research. Ken: I know that and in fact I had a couple of questions on that I was going to ask you. |
