Did you ever hear about things that happen to people that can not be explained? Every once in a while we hear about some of these events. A man had just come from a hard day's work and he did what a lot of us do, he headed for the bedroom to change his clothes. When he reached for his tie to take it off, it wasn't there. Wow he thought, how could I have lost a tie and not known about it? This question was answered almost immediately, when he looked over at the bed. His tie was neatly laid out on the bed. He hadn't put it there and had not felt it being removed. How did the tie get on to the bed? He was totally at a loss to answer this question.

A child was playing when her mother heard her calling out a name. She didn't pay much attention since the child was young and many children this age have imaginary friends. What the mother didn't know was that the child was actually seeing an adult American Civil War soldier. The family was moving and moved to a new home. The little girl noticed that her friend had come with her. This was unknown to the mother who still thought that the child was just playing. As time went by, strange things began to happen around the house, such as the radio and television going on by themselves and strange shadows appearing on the walls. The little girl finally grew up and left the house and there are no more reports of her seeing anything.

The road was dark and the man had no idea why he decided to walk instead of taking his car, but there he was walking down a road to his friend's house which was a few miles away. Woods were on both sides and there were no lights, but the road was very lightly traveled and it was a warm summer's night after all. As he walked his thoughts were of many different things. He thought about his wife, his job and his children. As he was deep in thought, he saw a shadow up ahead. It seemed to be that of a person and it was slowly walking toward him. He didn't like the idea of meeting people on a dark deserted road, but they did have a right to be out walking too he thought. As the figure got closer he noticed that it was probably a man. The figure seemed to be about the same height that he was. He prepared himself to say hello as the person passed him. Then he noticed a strange thing. The figure was close enough now that he should have been able to see the person's face, but he couldn't. He said hello anyway, but there was no response. Then his blood ran cold, he could see the figure's face and it was his own. The figure moved passed him without acknowledging him and disappeared into the blackness. He ran the rest of the way to where his friend lived.

Two boys were in the bedroom of a new home that one of them had just moved into. It was night time and the lights were on. As one looked up he could see a shadow in the hall and grabbed the other boy and they ran into the hall to see what was causing it. When they got into the hall, nothing was there, but they both felt uneasy. The next night the same thing happened, only this time when they ran to the hall they found a little boy playing there. The little boy was not anyone living in the house and should not have been there. The boys that found him had turned around for a second and that was all it took for the little boy to disappear. The next day both boys were in the kitchen eating and the mother of one of them said that she had heard a knock on her bedroom door and when she opened it a little unknown boy was there and then had just disappeared.

A two people were waiting on a subway platform for the train to arrive. As one looked out of the corner of his eye, he realized that there was another couple there about five feet away. That was not unusual, after all it was a subway platform. As he turned to get a better look at them, he couldn't help but notice that they were dressed strangely. Their clothes seemed to be of the type worn about a hundred years ago. The man thought that the couple must be going to a costume party. They didn't talk and just stood there. What struck this guy as being very strange was the fact that there were also other people on the platform and none of them seemed to be acknowledging the fact that these strangely dressed people were there. When the train arrived the strange couple got on the train right before the the guy and his friend. He said to his friend that those people were really dressed strangely and his friend looked at him like he was nuts. Finally she asked him what couple he was talking about? He said the couple to the right in the strange clothes. She replied that she didn't see anyone like that.

Creepy Doll

I don't know why it is, but some people are really scared to death of dolls. Dolls have become the subject of many tales of hauntings. One paranormal investigator stated that for some unknown reason dolls sometimes become imbued with the spirit of the child that owned them. A famous painter received a three foot tall straw filled doll from his nanny, when he was a baby and kept it his entire life. Some say that the nanny was mistreated by his parents and put a curse on the doll. He became a painter and was Robert Eugene, called Gene and also known as Otto. According to some stories, when the doll arrived, strange things began to happen around the home. Things began to disappear. When Gene was blamed he would reply that Robert did it and hold out the doll. Now we know that children often blame their toys for acts that they have committed, so this in itself was not that unusual. Eventually it was said that the doll was able to move around the house by itself. Supposedly the servants would be able to hear the soft footsteps of the toy as it moved around, but they were too scared to investigate. After his parents died, Gene lived in the house with only the doll until he married. The doll was so disturbing to his wife that she had it put into the attic. Gene died in 1972, and the house became empty. Reports of a doll staring out of the attic window were made from time to time by passersby. The house was finally sold and the family found the doll and gave it to one of their children. The child began to have nightmares. She would tell her parents that when she woke up, the doll would be next to her, staring at her, even though she had left it someplace else. Her other dolls were being systematically destroyed and it was felt that Robert the doll was doing this. Robert was finally put back in the attic and the family moved out.
