Isn't the world great? You can always find things to write about and if all else fails, there is always the news. Sometimes things in the news are so bizarre that they seem to better fit into this website rather than the general news. While not so weird, but showing how strange human nature is, someone is pulling fire alarms in New England and they are doing it to annoy professional teams that are visiting. An example of this is the fact that late at night, on November 21, 2009 someone pulled the fire alarm forcing the New York Jets team to get out of bed. Perhaps they had a bet against them and wanted them tired? They also did it to the Bills who were going to play the Patriots.
Healer There is a strange healer in Serbia that has had to hide because business is too good and everyone in European sports is seeking her out. It started when several English Premier League football players were cured from injuries in record time. Word has spread like wildfire. Some claim that the reason that she is hiding is not because of the increased business, but the fact that police and health inspectors want to talk to her. Her unique treatment includes massage and treatment with a horse placenta. One player had an injury that was thought would keep him out for several weeks and yet when he returned after being treated, he was ready to play and did and even scored a goal. The treatment also includes a gel that she has developed, which is used in conjunction with electricity.
Murder I think that most of us have gotten interested in cold cases. Those are the cases that the police and different law enforcement departments have not be able to solve. Sometimes that are reviewed from time to time and sometimes, on very occasions, a detective is assigned to one to try and solve it years later. One such case occurred in 1975 when a woman named Karen Rose Robinson died under mysterious circumstances. That was 34 years ago and this case has now been solved. Using the newest tools available, the Alameda County Sheriff's Department, in California, has now determined that the woman died from a heroin overdose. It had been classified as a homicide when the woman's body had been found off of Pleasanton. Her boyfriend confessed that he had been selling heroin for the Black Panthers and she overdosed, unknown to him at the time. Hey maybe he overdosed her on purpose and this would make it a murder again, wouldn't it? White powder is being spread around again. It has hit two different New York City locations in November this year. One of those places is the Ellis Island Museum. The powder there was deemed harmless, but caused a brief evacuation. The next batch of white powder was sent to the United Nations building in New York. That white powder was flour. Obviously there is someone out there that hates foreigners as witnessed by powder being sent to Ellis Island Museum a tribute to those that came to this country and the UN, which represents the countries of the world.
Porpoise Marine biologists have figured out why there have been so many dead porpoises found on California beaches lately. They were murdered by dolphins. Bottlenosed dolphins have been filmed in a mob attack on a harbor porpoises They killed the porpoise by ramming it and then strangely brought the dead porpoise to a boat with researchers on it and swam away. This is freaky indeed. Could something have happened to the porpoises to make the dolphins think that they were sharks? Perhaps they ate something to make them smell different? One scientist said, "Everybody thinks flipper is this nice, mellow animal," Costa said. "In the wild, there's interactions that occur and not all of them are friendly." It seems that only male dolphins are doing the killing. A man in Fiji is becoming famous. Not that he wanted to, but it just happened when he began to leave footprints that burned into the ground. When he walks on the grass, the grass has burned footprints all over it. Villagers are coming from all over his island to look at his feet. They want to see if there is anything different about them and it doesn't seem there is. He said that he first noticed it when he went to his farm to tend the cows. The next day he noticed that all the footprints to the barn and back were burned into the ground. He received a visit from the police and when he was outside with them, he left more burnt footprints. He claims that he never stepped into any chemicals and said he doesn't understand what is happening. Two years ago a woman popped out of the Cambodian jungle. She was naked and soon became known as the Jungle Woman. She was unable to speak and unable to communicate, making her appearance and her origin a mystery. Here we are two years later and she is sick and has a mental illness. She is believed to be 28 years old. One family claims that she is their daughter and that she disappeared when she was 8 years old. The woman is still not able to speak the language. She was hospitalized because she has refused to eat any rice for over a month and is said to be very skinny. The man that claims to be her father said that he has decided to take her back home, because she is not improving and keeps trying to run away. A doctor at the hospital stated, "We wanted her to stay longer in the hospital, so that we could learn more about her mental state, but her father took her back home without letting us know”. An expert in Britain, who was monitoring nuclear activity in foreign countries, was thought to have committed suicide when he fell 17 stories, but an autopsy, the second one, has led to tantalizing finds that seem to indicate that this fellow did not jump, but was pushed. It will be interesting to see the rest of this story if it is released. |
