There are a lot of things that go on every day in this world that are mysterious. When I say mysterious I'm not talking about paranormal, I'm talking about things that seem to happen that there was no ready explanation for. This could apply to mundane tasks also. The launch of the US Air Force's X–37B unmanned spacecraft is being considered mysterious by a lot of people. The craft resembles a miniature space shuttle and it is the first time that a U.S. spacecraft was able to land using only autopilot. I guess that one of the things that makes it so mysterious is the fact that the craft spent seven months in space, so it was not merely a test flight as we have been told. The funny thing is that no matter how much we tout this automatic landing, we were not the first to do it. The Russians did it over 20 years ago with their Buran space shuttle. The difference is that the Buran only went up into space for a few hours not seven months, but it's landing was entirely automatic. It just goes to show how advanced the Russians were in space technology and how much the collapse of their economy set them back. The Buran space shuttle never went back into space. The X–37B has solar panels to power it when it is in space. We have no idea what was in the cargo bay when it went up.

NASA officials are completely puzzled, they cannot figure out how a huge crack appeared in the external fuel tank of the space shuttle, which has delayed any more launches until next year. Apparently they don't realize that this is why we have junkyards and that the shuttle is ready for that trip. The crack appeared on the outside of the tank. There have been problems with cracks in tanks before, that have been traced to the manufacturing process, but what really puzzles scientists about this crack was this is the first time a crack was not seen before the shuttle was moved to the launching pad. This means that either the crack went undiscovered which is unlikely, or it only appeared after the shuttle was moved to the launch pad. Technicians at NASA say that they have repaired the damage to the tank, but mission managers are finally showing some sense in that they refuse to launch until they understand what has happened. Why weren't they this concerned in the beginning of the space shuttle program, it might have avoided some of the tragedies that have taken place? What is really troubling NASA during this investigation is, and I quote, "as we've gone through the investigation, we're not finding that obvious flaw or that obvious problem,". Complex tests are now scheduled to be performed on the tank.

Hyperion is one of the moons of Saturn the ringed planet. The planet has 61 other moons. The Cassini probe took pictures of it during the flyby and one has to admit the moon looks exactly like a potato. A link to the video is below:

Physicists are busy searching for the X particle. If it is found, it will answer many questions. One of those questions is why is there more matter than antimatter? Most scientists believe that dark matter is out there, but recently it was discovered that there could be far more of a certain type of star than we have suspected, and this could make up for what we believe is not enough visible matter. Scientists are in a quandary, they feel that the amount of antimatter and matter should be just about the same and that there was no reason why there would be more of one than of another. It is felt by the scientific community that the undiscovered X particle would likely decay into a neutron, or other particles and this would result in there being more matter than antimatter. The problem with this is that there is another theory that says if this is true then there is also an anti-X particle that should create more antimatter. Some scientists say that this is true. I cannot explain this since I don't fully understand it, but they claim that the antimatter scenario might produce dark matter and that we cannot see it. It has always been said that the easiest solution to a problem is probably correct and I think that things are becoming too complicated with the dark matter scenario. Since we really can't prove that dark matter exist yet, it does seem a little foolhardy in trying to figure out how it was created.

A Vortex

It is said that a report was prepared for the prime minister of Russia by the Admiral of Russia's Northern Fleet and that this report states that there is a mysterious magnetic vortex centered in the Gulf of Aden. It goes on to say that Russia, the United States and China have tried to shut it down but have been unsuccessful. Even more mystifying is the fact that they have no idea where it came from. The vortex was first noticed by US forces in the year 2000 and remained stable for about eight years until 2008, at which time it began to grow. It is said that the US put out a warning to the world about this vortex and that many nations sent their ships to this area. It is also said that the build up of ships in the area is the largest in human history and that the idea that all the ships were sent there to protect other ships from Somali pirates is really nonsense. Earthquakes are said to have become a regular occurrence in the area and have reached from 40 to 60 a month, which is more than any time in recorded history. This information is very interesting, it is unfortunate that there is no way to actually verify it, even though there is a possibility that it could all be true. But wait a second, it is said that WiliLeaks has released documents that were prepared by Admiral Maksimov about this Vortex, so perhaps the whole thing is true and is being hidden from us.

Let me ask you a question. Would you sell a computer that you have used that has all your personal information on its hard drive at an auction, to a stranger, or even to a friend without removing all that information? Let me answer that question for you, the answer would be probably not. You would think that you would have to be pretty careless to do this, wouldn't you? Apparently if you did wipe all of this data off of your computer's hard drive before selling it, you would have been a lot more careful than NASA, which has sold computers that were on the space shuttle without taking the data off of them. To make matters even worse the type of data that was on the computer's hard drives is the type that is subject to export control by the International Traffic In Arms regulations. When inspectors went to the Kennedy equipment disposal facility they found other computers that had been disposed of that had data pertaining to network listings. It is believed that this information alone would allow hackers to break into the NASA internal computer network. Again we have another great example of what happens when you put political hacks in charge of different departments and organizations.
