Did you ever wonder if what we think we know about our world, the universe and our existence could be entirely wrong? Let me make it easy for you, let's start out by saying that much of what we think we know might be right and only some of what we know might be wrong. We think that we are so advanced, yet there are some very basic things that we can't even prove and some others that we know work but we can't explain why. Here we are, 21 st century people with maybe 12,000 years of civilization behind us, yet we can't even prove that we are truly alive and not in some dream while our true selves might look like a bunch of worms laying in a puddle on some far off distant planet somewhere. Scary thought isn't it? While this may be a little far fetched, there is a remote chance that it might be true. Maybe that movie "The Matrix" wasn't so far from the truth after all. Maybe we are where we think we are but maybe there are others sharing our space and time yet our senses are not equipped to detect them. Wouldn't that be something, we might be sharing this planet with millions or billions of other creatures and not even know it. Maybe they have no form as we know it and we could be walking right through them every day. Come to think about it, this might account for those ghost sightings you are always hearing about. Could it be that there are ghosts but they are not what we think they are, which would be dead people returning to Earth? Maybe these so called ghosts are other beings that live here that only appear when conditions are perfect to see them. What about all those stories of Bigfoot, or is it Bigfeet or maybe Bigfoots and how they disappear when you track them? Could it be that they are always around us but we just can't detect them most of the time? Oh there is so much to ponder about our existence. Time is another element of our existence that we may not truly understand. This would not be so unusual since we don't even understand what electricity is, but in that case we know how to use it. But do we even know everything about how electricity can be used, maybe not? Maybe we will find out that electricity has other more subtle uses that we never dreamed of. The same is true of time. Imagine that someone, or something, is just a little out of phase with time as we know it. We might never know that person or thing even existed, yet it may have a very full life with others of it's kind. Time may be much more complex than we suspect. Someday we may have to manipulate time to travel in space. As impossible as it sounds now, it may very well be possible. We already travel forward in time at the same rate as everyone else, or at least we believe we do. The trick will be to be able to accelerate our speed. Traveling backward in time might be a bigger problem for us. Could what we perceive as death just be moving us from the physical plane of time to another more spiritual dimension? Some people think of death as our passage to a much better place, or a worse place if we have been bad. There are other people that think of it as the end of all things. I just can't believe that, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But what if we are not seeing the entire picture here? What if death leads to another place in time which might be in another dimension? Sure it could be a much better place, but if you believe in heaven it might be some sort of intermediate stop on the way or it could be what is commonly known as heaven. Maybe we are there already and only dreaming we are here and when we wake from our dream it will look like we died to others if they are sharing our dreams? I hope no one thinks that I am crazy after reading this article, but there is so much to wonder about. If we take this a step further then we have to reach the inescapable conclusion that maybe the people around us don't really exist and are figments of our imagination. I truly find this hard to believe as I am sure that you will. Maybe this is the best proof for our existence, our associations. It's too bad that all we have is emotional evidence, after all, we have all had dreams that seemed so real that we couldn't believe that they were dreams until we woke up. But maybe we never woke up and what we thought was a dream was real and all this is a dream? Ouch! Where is Einstein when you need him? Is he dead, do we only think he is dead, did he ever exist? Well I don't know about you, but I think I exist and I believe I am here and not dreaming. As for the other dimensions and time, who can be sure? We just have to do our best with the information we have at the moment. |
