A term that we hear from time to time in connection with world politics is the Illuminati. It makes one wonder exactly what the Illuminati is supposed to be. I think the best way to describe them are in terms of the X Files. In the X Files there was a group of people, men to be exact, that seemed to control the governments of the world. They would meet and plot. The Illuminati are like those men. They are supposed to control governments by controlling the money and they are said to have almost unlimited power. What makes them even more fascinating is the fact they remain in the background and because of this, are largely unknown, as are their deeds. If we take the current situation in the United States we could say, if we believed in the Illuminati, that the invasion of Iraq was caused by the Illuminati and it could have been for several reasons. If we believe that the Illuminati exist and they planned this invasion and forced our government into it, we might think it was for the oil or to acquire control of another country for their own ends, the sale of military systems and ammunitions, or for some other hidden purpose or purposes.

It is said that the Illuminati want one world government and will do anything to acquire it. They have been working toward this purpose for hundreds of years. Some people think that the word Illuminati is derived from the word Lucifer and means holders of the light. This seems a little contradictory to me because I would have to think if a word is derived from Lucifer than it might be more appropriate if it meant holders of the darkness or some such thing. Others say that the name comes from the Greek which was a name give to those that were baptized in ancient times. The baptized were called illuminati or illuminated ones. It is said that the Illuminati were organized in 1761 by a former Catholic Priest named Adam Weishaupt who managed to get financing by international bankers. There is a website called the Illuminati News at http://www.illuminati-news.com/index.htm which claims to show what is going on today with the Illuminati.

In the eighteenth century the Illuminati were disbanded. Did they form again? Rumors of their existence are persistent to this day. Not only do the rumors exist but it is said that the Illuminati are tied in with other secret societies. Could the Illuminati be involved with the Carlyle Group ? It is not always the ultra rich that control a group of people. One has only to look at J.P. Morgan to see this. He was one of the most powerful men of his time and while he was very rich, he did not have the assets of his friends, such as Henry Ford and Thomas Edison. Of course this was only found out upon his death. And don't feel too sorry for him he was a multi millionaire at a time when a dollar was quite a bit of money. This man, however, exercised complete power over businesses because of his control of the banks, and who knows, maybe he himself was an Illuminati.

It is said that the Illuminati swear an oath to hate government and crush the Christian God, and that their goal is to do away with all the earthly rulers. Of course the original oath was to do away with all kings. The French Revolution was a bloodbath for royalty and the upper classes. Many believe that even though history has stated that it was the peasants that rose up, it was the Illuminati that were really behind the revolt. Supposedly the Illuminati not only were able to play on the poverty of the peasants but also to foster atheism in many of them. Like all things that have happened over the span of a couple of hundreds of years or more, this is impossible to prove or disprove. If it is true, it would account for the viciousness of the revolution by many peasants who, while certainly not happy, had accepted their lot in life.

If one follows this Illuminati conspiracy then you may have to buy into part of it which some say states that the Illuminati were involved with the assignation of John Kennedy. It is said that secret societies played a hand in the president's death. The purpose of this, I do not know.

I read an interesting point on the net and it referred to remote viewing. We have talked about remote viewing before and if you remember that was the process where a person in one part of the world can pick up images from somewhere else in the world and these images appear in their brain. The U.S. government along with the Soviet government ran these programs for years. Supposedly the Illuminati were pushing these programs because they wanted to developers the ability to kill someone by just thinking about it. I guess this would have been the ultimate weapon, had it been perfected, or was it?

I don't know whether there really is an Illuminati out there or not, but I do know one thing, the international companies are controlling the world. Every year these giants get bigger and bigger and become less accountable for their actions as they spread out their operations all over the earth. Are any of them powerful enough to dictate policy to governments? Maybe some are. You have to remember that some governments are weak and might fold in the face of international pressure from one of these organizations. Also the prospect of thousands of new jobs and dare I say large bribes might just be too hard for some governments to ignore. The Illuminati of legend might not exist, or may, but there is no doubt that that the International corporations are the Illuminati of new.
