Did you ever wonder about things? I am talking about really looking into them? There is an awful lot to wonder about. An example of this might be why we were born into the exact time period that we were. I know that I feel fortunate, although disappointed in some areas, for being able to see such huge progress in technology in my lifetime. I was born at a time when people didn't even have television. We used to listen to the radio for entertainment and guess what, we enjoyed it. I have gone from a time like that to now. This period of time has probably seen more advancements in technology than any other time in history. I am disappointed in our progress in space. When you look at what the Germans had in World War II and look at us now, we are using rocket technology just as they did. Oh it may be on a higher plane, but it is rocket technology never the less and most of us know that we will never get very far into space with it. We do have some more advanced techniques, but we are yet to apply them except on a rare occasion. I look at all those hurricanes that have been increasing in power and number, that are hitting Florida and some of the islands and I wonder why? Are these all natural occurrences, or is something going on that we don't know about? Some say that weather will become a weapon, others say it has already. For years there has been talk about a Russian tornado machine and an American counterpart. There has been other rumors also, that at least one of us is able to produce earthquakes and hurricanes. I would hate to think that some country is trying out their new weather weapons on us. When I really look deeply into this, I have to say that if the US has weapons like this, it doesn't seem that we have used them. There were times when a weather weapon would have served us well. Take Afghanistan for example. If we knew that the Taliban were hiding in one part of the country, why didn't we send in tornados? Some say that we don't want to hurt Innocent civilians. I say if you send in an army firing and bombing everywhere, it is just as bad. Did you ever wonder why the inspections of food and drugs have gotten so bad lately? The accepted excuse is that we don't have enough people on the job to inspect even a small portion of these things. Let's look at this a little closer. Why don't we have enough people? Is it a budget thing? Billions of dollars are wasted every year on projects that are worthless to most of us. They are designed for some Senator or Representative to curry favor with either the people of his state or district or some powerful campaign backer. I won't go into these project here, we have all heard about them. This proves that there is money available, if it were used correctly. Could it be that the population of this country is getting so large that the government wouldn't mind for it to shrink somewhat? It is a chilling thought isn't it? Think of it this way, China had terrible control of its food and drugs before it exported to us, why? Their population is so huge that they didn't care that much about food and drug safety. Oh they can deny it, but they only started cleaning up there act when they began exporting. Is this common with countries that have large populations? If we look at India, another country with a large population, we find that food poisoning in that country is rampant and yet it continues. On April 5, 2006 an article appeared in a news service and here is an excerpt from it, “SAI Global Limited ASX is calling on India to adopt a common food safety standard in a bid to combat the dramatic number of poisonings that plague the country's billion-strong population.” Early Electric Car I wonder why we are still driving gasoline powered automobiles? The first electric car with independent electric motors on each wheel was produced around 1900 and yet here we are driving gasoline powered cars. The first perfected electric car was said to have been built in 1884. That is 125 years ago. Do you think that this is more than enough time to develop an electric car that would be useful? There is no doubt in my mind that we are being kept down by the world's large and super rich oil companies that care nothing for our progress and only care about sales. Why is it that with all this battery technology we have been hearing about for the past ten years or so, none of it has made it to cars? Could the oil companies have accomplished this without the help of our lawmakers? Are the lobbyists and lawmakers playing fast and loose with our technological future? One has to remember that there are billions of petrodollars out there and money corrupts. Could the temptation be just too much? Did you ever wonder why school systems all over the country have budgets that increase so much, increasing the amount of school tax that all of us pay one way or another? On Long Island, it seems that every time a school district is examined, it turns out that there is corruption. Some of this this corruption is from the sellers of school books and those responsible for their purchases. It is a well know fact that tiny changes are sometimes make in books so that the older editions can not be used because the page numbering system will change. This means that the book editions can not be mixed and the older editions must be tossed. Anyone that has gone to college and has had to purchase books has seen this trick. Other forms of corruption that were found were the use of school funds for personal vacations and outright theft of funds. Why is it then that these inspections are so few and far in between? Could it be that some of these people have connections to those in power, or is it that no one wants to admit that corruption is rampant among the US school districts? I wonder? I wonder why all those social networks have sprung up on the Internet. Is it because companies have figured out that people are pack animals and like to be together and communicate with each other? So many of them are out there. Look at Facebook, they get a lot of your information and put it in their databanks. Could it be that these social networks are really being encouraged by the government as a way of learning everything about us, or at the very least by companies that use our information to plan product releases and such. Not only that, but people like to talk on these networks and they say all sorts of things, things that might be helpful to certain government agencies, like police agencies of different types, or even Homeland Security. Are these social networks really just innocent websites used for conversation? Are things really the way they seem, or is there more going on behind the scenes? Are drug companies really trying to cure us? Of course not, they just want to invent a pill that will be expensive and that we will have to take every day to maintain our health. Are we producing food to feed the world's hungry? Of course not, too much food drives down the value of the crops. Are we fighting wars to free people? Of course not, we fight them for economic reasons, such as oil, selling arms and contracting to rebuild. There is no doubt that as a person lives longer, if he or she is of at least average intelligence, they begin to see what is really going on and it is very disappointing to those that once believed that everything was on the level. |
