Controlling The World

Is the world what we think it is? I am not talking about the planet itself, but the structure of governments and society? We have been taught that the U.S. is a country where everyone has a say through free elections and our elected officers then pass bills that aid the everyday citizen. We were also taught that Europe is much like the U.S. in that all the countries of Europe are democratic and run by elected governments. We, in this country, were told that there are certain countries that are our enemies, such as Russia, China, Cuba, Iran and North Korea to name a few. Things have changed a little with Russia, but former President Bush did his best to get them back on the dangerous enemies list again. So supposedly we wear the white hats and those enemy countries wear the black ones, but in real life is this how things really are?

There are some people that propose a different scenario all together. I am not going to sit here and tell you what I think, but I am going to lay things out a little different. The first thing that I would like to mention is that some people believe that there is more to governments than meets the eye. They believe that powerful individuals actually run many of the world governments behind the scenes. Others believe that there is a group of very rich and influential people who are the power behind all governments and more or less dictate what these governments do. This of course runs contrary to what we all have been taught.

The people that believe this, also believe that these people are hiding their true wealth so that we won't suspect how rich and powerful they really are. An example of this are the Rothchilds. They don't appear on the list of the richest people. They don't make much noise as it were. Some say that this is only a front and that they actually control Britain. The claim by some people is that the Rothchilds are really worth the astounding sum of 200 trillion dollars. This does sound far too wild to me, but there are others that just say that they are really the richest family in the world and exert influence not only over Britain, but actually over many of the world's governments, including our own. The Rothchilds are not the only people that others claim are one of the world's most influential families. The Rockefeller family is another group. At one time John D. Rockefeller was considered the richest man in the world.

Some say that the Rockefellers and Rothchilds are just two of the families on a board that actually rules this planet and that the Rockefellers are also hiding their true wealth. Another shaper of world policies is said to be George Bush Sr. It is claimed that these three families are part of what is know today by some, as the Secret World Government. I admit that this theory could turn out to be rubbish, but there are those that believe it and what if it were true? Could it be that we, the voters are not really in control of the important things? Just look at the wars we have been in, I am sure none of us wanted that did we? If there is truly a world government, why would there be war? I have thought about that and the answer seems pretty simple. Fortunes are made during wars and if munitions companies and contractors are secretly owned by these people, than wars are needed to keep the cash coming. One has to only look at how the money flowed in Iraq.

Believers in the secret world government say that this same thinking is behind the reason that we always try and have several so called strong countries marked as our enemy. By doing this, we constantly have to build up our forces by buying the newest, best and most expensive arms and systems. Look at the cost of the B-1 bomber program. As of 2004 it was almost 45 billion dollars and this is only one system and certainly not the most expensive. Believers point to the trend where we buy expensive systems that don't work, but are promised that they will by the time they are mass produced. They say that this is greed rearing its ugly head.

Here is one of the points that is being made about the world government and that is that they are responsible for the current financial problems in the world. It is thought that they have drained so much money out of the world economy that it has caused this economic downturn. Could they be right on this? I guess if you look at the way we have been spending money in this country, it almost looks on the face of it that it is some sort of coordinated plot to drain the U.S. of all its capital. Where is all this money going? We can't even account for billions that we sent to Iraq. Somebody must have gotten it. The cost overruns on military contracts are monumental and we just keep on paying whatever we are asked for. Many are saying that this is very strange unless it was arranged before hand. It is almost as if someone said," let's get as much out of the U.S. as we can, because they are losing much of their wealth to countries like China and India".

Could there be a group of maybe ten or fifteen of the most powerful families running the world that are really making the decisions? If they are, how come we don't know about it? Maybe we just didn't listen when we were told? There are all sorts of stories about organizations like the Illuminati that have been spoken about for years. Even the Freemasons have been discussed in this vein. The NOW, or New World Order is said to be another organization that could be running the world. When you talk about the New World Order you are talking about a group that is said to control some of the biggest companies in the world. What I find strange is that the United Nations is never mentioned in this conspiracy theory. Another organization that is said to be actually a shadow government is The Order of Skull and Bones, along with the Bilderberg Group and the World Economic Forum. The Skull and Bones is a Yale college organization and has been accused of starting the CIA.

The Bilderberg Group is said to be so secret that no recording of meetings is ever made and the group is never mentioned by its members. It is said that they might have had something to do with the attack on Iraq. They are credited with the strikes against Serbia and creation of the European Union, but this is denied by some. The World Economic Forum states that it is committed to improving the state of the world. Those that suspect a secret world government say that this organization is really one that changes the political picture of governments around the world and asserts vast amounts of influence. In case you are wondering who belongs to it, here are some of the people believed to be members: Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Al Gore, George Soros, Bono, Rupert Murdoch and many other important people. The Bilderberg Group boasts such members as, Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, David Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Jacques Chirac, Ariel Sharon and others. The Skull And Bones has such members as dozens of important people in the U.S. government such as senators, ambassadors, governors, generals, cabinet members and even Supreme Court justices.

Is there a hidden world government? If there isn't, there certainly are groups of very rich and very influential people that can influence the policies of governments everywhere.
