Why Did Humans Suddenly Become Interested In Technology?
Cavemen There are some people, maybe I should say many people, that do not believe that UFOs are extraterrestrial. As a matter of fact some of these people don't even believe that the UFOs that are being seen are even craft of any kind. They write all these observation as either natural phenomena or imagination. One of their arguments is why would any advanced civilization that could travel from the stars ever want to be bothered with such a primitive race as ours? They ignore history. What I mean by that is they make believe that all those paintings and such that stretch back thousands of years, that show UFOs either don't exist or are really showing other things. In this vein I really had to laugh at one of the explanations that was given for UFOs that had been painted in the background of a medieval religious painting. The doubter looked at it and stated that it was nothing more than a Mexican sombrero. What do you see wrong with this explanation, could it be the fact that Mexico had not even been discovered yet, or maybe the fact that there were no sombreros when the painting was created? Things like this never seemed to bother these types of skeptics. It is very hard to have a rational conversation with a person who is being totally irrational. There are so many reasons why an alien or extraterrestrial race might be interested in us and these are only the ones that I can think of, there could be others that they know about that have never even crossed my mind. One of the things that I can't help thinking about is the phenomenal rate at which our technology is increasing. If it is happening naturally, then we may just be a phenomena to be studied. It could turn out that the rate of increase in our technology is so phenomenal, that beings from other places are studying us. Look at the way things are going, our computer technology is doubling every 12 to 18 months. Some people are saying that all of our technology is increasing at such a rapid rate than our capabilities double every year. It really is kind of hard to judge these things. One of the reasons for that is that much of our technology is kept secret. It could be that we are far more advanced than the average person knows. I have talked about this many times in the past so I will belabor the point here, but suffice it to say that any patent applications for anything that the government deems should be kept secret, is kept secret and does not make it to the general market. Pyramids In a way this practice is actually slowing down technological advances, because less people get to see the more advanced technology since it is kept from the public arena and we all know that a lot of things that are invented are based upon technology that came before them and sometimes they are actually an advanced and more efficient device which is improved over one that we already have. Take the VCR for example. The VCR was able to record television programs. It was quite handy, but the cartridges were bulky and the tape sometimes broke. When the DVD recorder came out it accomplished the same thing, it could record television programs, copy movies, etc. We can see that both devices do basically the same task, but the DVD recorder was far superior to the VCR recorder. It recorded to a disk, so there was no problem with tapes breaking and storage was much easier since a disk is so much smaller than VCR tapes. If there was no VCR recorder, would we have gotten a DVD recorder? I don't know the answer to this question, but it seems to me that there was a possibility that it may not have been thought of. Are we special in some way that we are not aware of? Maybe we are a danger? Could it be that our technology is advancing at such a furious pace that others out there fear that we will become a threat to them? One thing that we have a habit of doing is saying things like, “if a race is older than us, its technology must be far superior to ours”. This may not be true at all. Look back at the human race. If we believe what the scientists tell us, we may have gone hundreds of thousands of years without hardly any advancement at all and then suddenly something happened. It would be interesting to know what changed us wouldn't it? Perhaps a meteor hit the Earth that released something that altered our brains in some way, or a virus, or bacteria changed our thought patterns? If we believe what science tells us, and I am not one for buying into all they say, then something had to have happened to us to change us. If it didn't, we would still be living in caves today and hunting wild animals. New York City There is a theory that states that humans were influenced by aliens who showed them some primitive technologies and even some that were not so primitive, so that the human race would start to advance based upon these technologies. It is true that when we look at some ancient buildings and structures, we are shocked to find that the technology that was used to construct them was so advanced, that we would be hard-pressed today to equal it even with all our machines. How can something like this be accounted for? Did it suddenly appear out of the blue. Did somebody suddenly say, “hey while I was hunting in the woods I suddenly discovered Pi”? This is not the only theory that exists to explain our sudden advancement. I'd like to mention another theory and that is that certain humans were slightly altered so that their intelligence was far superior to the rest of mankind at the time and these people were responsible for advancing technology. We know that geniuses existed among many of the ancient races, could there have been geniuses that existed that we don't know about and that were placed here in the very beginning of the human technological revolution? Why not? You have to admit it does seem awful strange that humans would live in caves for almost 200,000 years and then suddenly technology would start to develop. It is almost as if a lightning bolt hit us and changed everything. If that is true, it does make you wonder why we didn't care enough in all of the years before that to try and make things better? We didn't even seem to invent the simplest of things, such as waterwheel or a bow. We didn't even try and domesticate horses. It seems that all we were able to do was just hang on. The worst part of all of this is that we didn't seem to care about anything except survival. I know it must've been very hard to survive in those times, but you would have thought that there must have been some time to think about things and how to improve them. There is no doubting it. Something very strange happened to the human race that gave them purpose. It could have been, as some have said, that humans have existed previously on this planet and they had advanced technology and something happened to them that set them back to the Stone Age. Perhaps we lost a war and somehow something was done to us as a punishment? Probably none of us alive today will ever know the answer to this puzzle. |
