Soviet Space Shuttle Buran US Space Shuttle In the previous article I discussed the fact that the space shuttle can be used as a long range space vehicle and is capable of traveling to the Moon and Mars, with the addition of fuel tanks in the cargo bay or the addition of an electric engine, such as an Ion engine. This was pretty much kept from us and we were led to believe that the space shuttle was only able to get into low earth orbit and travel to the International Space Station. After finding this out, it led to another question, was there anywhere that we could have secretly launched the space shuttle from if we had to? There were a couple of different methods for doing this. One was to have some isolated hidden location where we would try and launch it from. This seems pretty hard to do since it seems to me that while we might get lucky once or twice, sooner or later someone would detect the launch. The better way to do it would be to disguise the launch as something else, say a different rocket. Even better if we could get some other country to let us launch from their facilities, we might be able to make the world think that this was a test by the host country of their rockets. Now we have to say to ourselves, who launched a lot of rockets from the early 1970s to a couple of years ago? I think that we would all come to the same conclusion, it was the Soviets who later became the Russians. But wait, they were our bitter enemies weren't they? A report came out that was before the US Congress where we admitted that since 1992, we have provided more than 28 BILLION dollars to the former Soviet Union. How much more I can not answer at this time. This aid was more or less public. I know that most of us didn't know about it, but digging might have brought it up. We say that we did it to facilitate the transition from authoritarianism to democracy, to promote the growth of free market economies, control the proliferation of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons and now we have added that we wanted to support the war on terror. While it is very hard to find any documentation to show that we aided the Soviet Union during the Cold War, we can find reports that show we did help them survive World War II by sending aid in the form of food and supplies. They were one of the recipients of the Lend Lease program and this enabled them to get trucks to move their troops around. We were actually the ones that helped them survive. You might ask why did we want to strengthen Stalin? An article on HistoryNet.com states that we wanted Stalin to be in power to counterbalance the European colonial powers, Click Here to read it. Is this possible, we wanted the Soviet Union to remain strong and we aided them? I think that one thing that always has to be remembered is that we, the US, always needs an enemy. We need this enemy so that the military can get the money for new weapons systems and such. Look at how many stated enemies we have had just since World War II. There has been Korea, China, Vietnam, Soviet Union, Angola, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Venezuela and so on. Does anyone think that this is a coincidence? It turned out that we propped up the former Soviet Union and they knew it. In this atmosphere, one in which we were even trading strategic materials, could we have gotten the Soviet Union to launch some shuttle flights for us? Hey they wanted to keep whatever aid they were receiving from us, even when the Iron Curtain fell. The US space shuttle was flying until 1982, although there were test flights in 1981. When the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, the old Soviet Union was finished and officially ended in 1991. From 1991 to now, it would have been very easy for us to let the Russians launch space shuttle flights, because they had become a capitalist country and would welcome the money we would pay. When you think about this, it becomes a lot more logical. Even having them launch shuttle flights before that is feasible, because we were probably giving them money under the table, so to speak. This would have provided us with a secret way of getting those shuttles up there. The Russians and the Soviets before them would just have to act like they were launching their own rockets. They even had a shuttle designed that looked identical to ours and if they were seen launching our shuttle, they could have just said that it was theirs. They never went through with deploying their shuttle, could it have been made just to confuse those that saw shuttle launches? That raises the question, did they really have a shuttle, or was their shuttle just our shuttle? Ion Engine If we did let the Russians launch shuttle flights for us in secret, could there be a whole fleet of space shuttles in space? There is really no reason why there couldn't be. It has long been suspected by some that we have a space fleet and have even continued to land on the Moon and Mars. It was an eye opener to find out how relatively easy it would be to install an Ion engine in the shuttle that would allow it to travel to planets like Mars in 39 days. There is something else we should keep in mind and that is that the further you go the faster the speed builds up using an Ion engine. This means that traveling to places like the moons of Jupiter would now become within our reach, if we could figure out how to protect the crew from radiation and going crazy while traveling in such a small space. Recent experiments have shown that it will be possible to establish a plasma shield around an object to deflect radiation. It is said that these shields are not ready yet, but how do we know that? If anyone is interested on reading up on this subject, click HERE. We have been studying plasma shielding for over 50 years or more and it is quite possible that we may have perfected one and the fact is classified. The Moon Lastly if we have been hiding our shuttle launches for years, could it be that we have built a base out there capable of secret launches? If the base was on the dark side of the moon, the shuttles might not need the big boosters to take off since the gravity is only 1/6 that of Earth. If they need a smaller booster it could be brought up by our regular shuttle fleet in the cargo bay. While all this is speculation, it is not out of the realm of possibility and presents an interesting question. The problem here would be that the shuttle can't glide to a stop on the moon because there is no atmosphere for lift under the wings. Maybe some other method of landing has been discovered, or we have built another space station and launch them from there. |
